Your Last Year in the Strip Clubs?

If you had one last year as a strip customer (think of it like a farewell tour) how would you spend your time? Keep it simple or maybe one last epic run? Or if you've already done everything you could think of, would you just walk away with a smile?

If this is my last year as a customer, then I'm probably terminally ill. So why not go out with a bang. Thailand, Philippines, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Brazil, FKK… I'm doing the United Nations of pussy.

For just strip clubs, not like brothels or nothing. If I'm road tripping I'd do Toronto to Detroit to DFW and finish up and go all out in LA.

Wall, you sound like someone who is about to have his wings clipped. Retirement perhaps?

As someone who already experienced that, albeit much more abruptly and for different reasons, I'll just say that I have no regrets. I partied in, and elsewhere with women I met at, countless of these gin joints - so much so that I can only imagine how much I can't even remember what I may have forgotten, lol. I did a lot of crazy stuff over those years, only a small fraction of which was chronicled on here.

I just can't imagine what I would have done differently if I knew it was coming, except maybe travel to a couple of areas that I always meant to visit. But that's just me. I was never one to try to force things - I let the experiences unfold and made my moves when the time felt right. But when the iron was hot, I was always ready to strike hard and fast.

Anyway, if I'm right about the genesis of this question, then I wish you good luck.

I'm always thinking I may be in my last year of strip clubbing. That's why I spend more $ than I should and take more risks than I should. When it stops, i expect it will stop quickly, and likely not at a time of my choice

Zurich

I did Zurich once. It'd be interesting to see it again now. I'm seeing a lot of votes for the blaze of glory path. Worth some thought.

My last year of visiting strip clubs will probably just involve my interest declining to the level that I feel like it is no longer worth the effort to go to them. My peak level of interest was when I was going weekly. Now I feel once every three weeks is enough and I can see the frequency of my visits continuing to decline.

Zurich is sort of a clip joint, no? You pay for bottles not dances etc.

Out of curiosity, I would go to Czechia and check out the clubs in Prague.

I could keep it simple and keep it within driving distance - Toronto and Detroit. I've been content with that.

Maybe make a tour of the U.S and visit (at least) one in each state.

"Maybe make a tour of the U.S and visit (at least) one in each state."

I think Muddy might've done that already in his travels over the years, but it would be interesting to try and do a club in every state in a single year. I've only gotten to a strip club in about half the States (25 or 26) over time. It's 26 if I count Delaware, but I can't remember which town or club it would've been. I've been to clubs in every state around it, so back when I was doing road trips I think I must've stopped somewhere. To be honest I would probably get bored unless I sought out the best club in every state, but this year I don't think I'd have that kind of time.

"Wall, you sound like someone who is about to have his wings clipped. Retirement perhaps?"

Years ago I gave myself an arbitrary deadline for getting out of the clubs, and that's going to arrive sooner than later so I'm considering it. But I do have other reasons, and there are different kinds of retirement. I've been at the point for years where I'm just repeating variations of the same things, so I don't think it would be a big loss if I just stopped. As I was typing that last sentence I just thought of something I hadn't tried that doable so maybe I'll just scratch that before the digital ink is dry lol.

But there's only so much one monger can do in a lifetime...even Hef, Wilt, and Ric Flair hit a wall eventually. Maybe not Uncle Milty but thankfully they didn't have cellphone cameras then...I'm not on that level, but I'm just saying even unobtainable levels of debauchery (without committing a crime in that era) wasn't all that's possible for one man to do. Maybe the old school Pharohs got the closest?

I hear that. It's very easy for this to get repetitive. It's not like most strip clubs are dramatically different from one area to another. Sure some of the ancillary gimmicks can vary, but the fundamentals really do not.

Have you thought of something perhaps more curated in nature? Meaning a leisurely road trip that melds clubs with other objectives? Like maybe visit clubs in an area that is also a great foodie destination or has some attractions that you'd really like to see? Or maybe you've always wanted to have a hot ass time with a girl of a particularly ethnicity (full blood native American is still on my bucket list)? Maybe mix in a few clubs along the way that seem particularly interesting?

That's the type of road trip that I've always imagined anyway if I had the time and resources. I'd spend 2-3 days in each area and really soak it in. And under no circumstances would I set myself up to do more than a few hours of driving in any one day. I could see a trip like this stretching over a month or two.

Anyway, just a thought. I hear the ol' blaze of glory argument, but for me at least the quality of experiences is more important than the quantity - though there would be plenty of that too.

"...for me at least the quality of experiences is more important than the quantity"

This is I think what makes the idea of an "epilogue" linked to time an open question. I know I led the thread with a "last year" trope...and it was the question. Now I'm realizing the question I actually had was how to plan something as a concluding chapter for a story where all the best moments weren't planned. The road trip idea is a good one if there's enough time to do it right. No schedule. No goals. Just let the experience happen. That could be fun.
