It seems like it's pretty much either brothel or bust. We don't got a ton of reviews out that way. Y'all know if there any exceptions?

I think in the UK, yes they have clubs similar to ours.
In most of the rest of Europe in limited experience is brothel or bust. Like in Amsterdam, the closest you're going to get to seeing anything resembling a stage show is a live sex show. I think some Europeans would see our penchant for throwing dollars at a women you're not going to have sex with as silly.

I have been to strip clubs in several European countries. The best, by far, is in Czech. They actually put on a great stage show. I saw one show where the stage filled up with bubbles and there were multiple girls putting on a quite a show. Dances are in private rooms and a full menu is available if you are into that.
Switzerland is pretty good too and more similar to the US. Finland and Sweden are different where you buy a bottle of champagne and the girl is hanging out with you for 15-30 minutes. No extras but you pick who you want to spend time with.

France has artsy stage shows.

I went to a few strip clubs in Europe last summer.
La Vie en Proost, Amsterdam: tuscl.net
Hospital Bar, Amsterdam: tuscl.net
BonTon, Amsterdam: tuscl.net
Pascha Nightclub, Köln: tuscl.net
Pure Platinum, Frankfurt: tuscl.net
Of these Pascha was awful. The Amsterdam ones were ok. Pure Platinum was the closest thing to an American strip club, with a stage and lap dances.
It's certainly true that if your goal at a strip club is the most sex (adjacent) activity you can get for the money, then you're better off at a brothel or FKK or something. If you want something more like a US strip club, you have to look a little harder and the prices are relatively high. Whether it's the prevalence of legal sex services or something else about the cultures, strip clubs seemed less of a thing, at least in the cities I've tried so far.

UK had trading stripclubs, but the ones in Londen were lame.
Spain is more a sex club/bar-brothel vibe, Austria has both, but I never went in and can't provide details. Chechia is fairly good, but blends into sex club. Hungary I only remember brothels, wasn't looking. Italy has some, mostly Rome, and hostess bars that are similar. I've not really been impressed by European options
