Club value as a function of geography

Avatar for deepthinker

I just thought I’d make the observation that mileage for clubbing (based on number of clubs in this website’s listing in the Value category) is disproportionately best in the eastern half of the USA, less in the midwest, and worst in the western half.
Top 40 Strip Clubs for Value:
Northeast 13; South 16 (Florida has 5, Texas 4); Midwest 5; Interior West 1; West Coast 2; Mexico 2; Canada 1

This observation has changed how I rate value in reviews. Knowing the rest of the country and knowing people outside Georgia are reading my stuff I started to consider that in rankings

Economics may be one factor but I suspect that political ideology and policy may be a bigger issues in the availability of high mileage dances and extras in the club. Places where evangelical Christians influence policy (e.g., the Bible Belt of the south) and places where woke crusaders influence policy (e.g., West coast including Oregon) might trend towards fewer extras in the clubs.

^^^ Richest area of the country is the northeast and yet some retard from the West coast who wanted to kill himself over a 2-bit whore cannot figure it out.

Mormon territory is pretty rough. Minimal one way $40 is a pretty common thing.

The West has a much lower population density (supporting fewer strip clubs). Except near the Pacific Coast, where everything is too expensive to be a good value, even when it's good.

To me, the challenge seems to be that people rate clubs relative to other clubs they've seen. And what's more, a lot of PLs don't travel much, so they end up rating every club relative to others in the area.
.
I think this is why both the DTW area clubs and the Pompano Beach clubs are ranked relatively low in the Top 40 here, and also somehow simultaneously, clubs in Charlotte and Greensboro, NC do make the list. I seriously doubt than any monger who has visited clubs in all 3 states would rank any North Carolina club higher than any club in DTW or PB.
.
In contrast, the Tijuana clubs all do very well, because I think a lot of people do travel for those, so they're comparing Hong Kong club to their home strip club on Industrial Ave.
.
The only solution I see is to force reviewers all to go to some form of a control club. Like a mandatory trip to DTW, PB, or TJ. Then everyone would have a baseline. Is this club better or worse than Cheetah Pompano?

I've found that poor-value clubs (high prices with low mileage) are typically in 1st tier cities, like NYC, DC, Chicago, and San Fran (good-looking girls, though) - OR - in less affluent small towns and rural areas (and w/subpar girls), like WV and NC. It's the mid-tier cities like Atlanta, greater Ft Lauderdale, Dallas, and Phoenix where it all comes together.

Icey: brush up a bit on economic geography. The five richest cities are NYC, SF, Boston, DC, LA. (Sometimes Seattle or Honolulu might break the top 5). NJ and CT are the richest states. NJ and CT have good value clubs. LA's average dance price is way lower than mot of the economically depressed South or Rust Belt.

Electronman: Rules and whether or not they are enforced by clubs is driven as much by local politics as state politics. (Look at the other recent thread on Polk County, FLA and compare it Pompano Beach or Tampa). For medium and up cities, they also face issues where the police decide to set their own agenda independent of the the electeds.

I think the short answer here is that club value is driven by lot's of things, and in some regions prices are set either below the prices that would maximize dancer income.

Of the 5 West Coast majorish metros (San Diego, LA, San Jose/SF/Oakland, Portland, Seattle), Portland is the poorest of these cities, has crazy high club saturation, and the highest dance prices. Why are the prices so high? My guess is that it is a combination of (1) almost no dancers actually do it as their only job, and (2) a lot fewer immigrants, so they demand higher per dance fees. Except for dancers are one or two clubs, they all seem to have second jobs. If someone were to open up a non-extras two way contact at $20/song club here, the owners and the dancers would absolutely crush it.

The US has three large cities: LA, NYC, and Chicago. In terms of wealth it goes NYC > LA > Chicago. NYC and LA have plentiful $20/song dances and Chicago is much more expensive.

More generally, clubs aren't providing the same product in terms or dances and they are staffed by very different populations. A two way contact grind from a Russian spinner in New Jersey who is fully clothed just isn't the same product as an pasties air dance from a fat American-born dancer in Nashville, which is totally different from a chair fort from a non-English speaking Cuban in Dallas.

I've clubbed in California, Nevada, Colorado, Nebraska, Ohio, New York, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, Rhode Island, Utah, Florida and I find that the southeast and the northeast have the highest value/contact in the land.

@rickymacrodog: Oregon has lots of clubs but I seldom see reports of extras in those clubs. I've only visited a few Oregon based strip clubs and I got nude dances from heavily tatted peelers but no hint of extras. Perhaps I'm missing something. Seattle however, has several clubs that are meccas for extras.
.
Maybe I'm mistaken about the position of the woke movement on dancers/women selling sexual services? I was working under the impression that woke ideology framed this as wealthy/powerful men exploiting women. Why not frame it as women exercising their right to use their body in whatever manner they choose?
.
@blahblah: Good point about local ordinances being more relevant than stage level ordinances.

This isnt complicated.
Women in expensive areas are more coerced into prostitution because they need the money
And the more economically depressed an area is the cheaper the hookers.
The kinkiest lifestyles are in conservative sexually repressed areas like Utah

I was amazed when I went to Portland and customers actually asked permission on whether touching was alright, and they would ask like halfway into a song. It happened to the point where I wondered if being too ready to say “yeah that’s fine” would actually end up hurting my money because I’d end up perceived as a “lower quality” stripper or something. I wasn’t there long enough to figure that part out, so it didn’t matter.

Customers in Texas are very, very different in how they interact with dancers.

Asking to touch or having her initiate touching is normal.

The club ratings as a comparison are utterly meaningless if not within the same metro area.
