Back in Vegas again - June

Avatar for londonguy

I'll be arriving in Vegas again on 12 June for eight nights. Yes, I know some of you think I'm crazy going for so long, or at all come to think of it.

If any of you guys will be there it would be great to meet up for a few beers, preferably in a strip club.

Why would we think you're crazy for going on holiday in Vegas? I mean I can think of many better strip club towns, but Vegas serves a variety of vices.

But things have changed a little here in the land of milk and honey since you last visited. Now, in order to be sure to get through customs, you'll need to be able to recite "God Bless America."

And if that isn't enough, there's a secret hack just for Brits. If they still look skeptical, then follow up with, "Look, I'm a man, not a woman, no matter what the National Health Service tells me!"

After that, enjoy the City of Sin in the land of the free!

@rick - this is my seventh trip, it can't come quick enough.

@shailynn - much appreciated, so many places to eat. I'm really going to have a limitless budget on food this time so thanks for the links.

People hyping up the Wynn buffet. I’m aware it’s amazing but it’s big money that I usually need for strippers.

It may not be convenient for you as this is off the strip, but whenever I have a car in Vegas I head south of the strip for an excellent meal at Bootleggers Italian Bistro. Lots of history here, too. Later in the day they’ll have music.

^^^ This is a great recommendation. Anthony Bourdain featured this restaurant on his show, Parts Unknown.

my suggestion is to take a drive and take in the sights like the Red Rocks, Mount Charleston, the Valley of Fire, Lake Mead Recreation Area... maybe even drive over to the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
and if you're up to it drive up to Utah on I-15 and take in Zion National Park.

Thanks for your input guys. @mate27, that place looks great but seeing the menu I was surprised to see the steams are served with mashed potato, didn't think you guys ate that over there .

@jascoi, done Red Rocks and Canyon before, might try the others.

Vegas restaurants have gotten a lot worse.

Yellowtail is still excellent
Chicago Joes or Binions steakhouse for a taste of old Vegas
Noodlehead or Yum Cha for Chinese
Mama Marias and the tacos el buen pastor truck for Mexican
Carbone is good

The valley of fire is nice. Really peaceful at night. Great for star gazing. The Paiute reservation is underrated. I like exploring it.

Oasis is the best dispensary.
