In Mexico, especially in a city like TJ, it's not a question of whether to make a deal with the devil, only which devil. When you go to a club like HK, they are your devil, and they have an interest in your safety. When you see a BG outside the club, which devil has an interest in your safety.

"Friend" can mean some level of obligation to somebody. People lead much more precarious lives in Latin America generally. Think about how much you want to get pulled into that. When you're presumably looking to just have some fun.

@PAFBABS- good points and definitely always something I like to include in planned visits. Wondering what you typically negotiate for OTC? How much and how long? Is there a general average what girls get for OTC OR TLN? I’m sure it all depends on the lady and amount of time. 👆🏻In a city like Tijuana, and in my years of clubbing experience I’ve come to the realization that no one goes out of their way to be genuinely nice to you or interested in your safety ( inside or outside the club ), and the only one person that has control on that is YOU. If you play your cards right, then you can get free yourself out of any situation and anywhere ( both locally and in TJ ). Especially in TJ/México, respect factor plays an important role and regardless of which ‘devil’ you’re intact with or where at, you’ll do just fine.

The way I’ve been handling it so far is by being upfront and a straight shooter with the girls from Day-1 and never letting down my guard.If ever I notice the rules being bent, I’ll simply walk away before it all starts turning into an ‘Obligation’ .Despite the girl’s/people precarious life styles in Latin America ( as you mentioned ), I am still in full control of the outcome and I can manage it all quite well in a positive manner by only choosing the positives and instantly walking away from the negatives.

Zbott- The rule of thumb in OTC hookups is 💯 % YMMV, in both your particular taste in women and also your negotiation skills. So, what I may offer a girl may come as an insult from another guy. That’s why it’s critical to first and foremost hand pick your best match that genuinely clicks with you and your personality. Then only, the monetary value becomes a secondary-factor of importance for these girls. But, unfortunately many guys don’t do it like this and start flashing their $$$$’s to attract the git’s attention which is the wrong way.Like this all you’re doing is attracting all the junk and unwanted guests which may sooner or later turn into an ‘Obligation’ that you don’t want or need.

Having said that, my usual OTC hookups mostly range around the same out-of-pocket as the half-hour sessions inside HK or maybe sometimes slightly more. But the overall FUN totally supersedes inside the club half-hour sessions.and unmatched.

Personally,I don’t do overnight stays in TJ but for a few hours of daytime/evening FUN with a pretty lady OTC for that much of a reasonable out-of-pocket (Plus, any applicable lunch/dinner charges which I always pay for the girl/s as a courtesy).

@PAF respect doesn't pay anybody's bills. You are fairly safe in licensed cabs, because the cab company is paying some group(s) with guns to have an interest in the safety of the cab and its occupants. I don't know how reliable the tourist police are, or what parts of TJ they cover. If they perceive you are trying to be cheap, they are less motivated to care what happens to you. It surprises me how much people talk in this forum about the police literally mugging them. What I'm more familiar with (in other parts of Mexico) is, they tell you they need to arrest you for something, you ask what the fine is for what you did, and if you can just go ahead and pay it to them. It's usually much less than what a speeding ticket would be in the US. Maybe your OTC BGs are paying the needed mordidas, and factoring that into what they ask you for. I don't think you'd be able to just talk your way out of it, if somebody feels they are not getting the money the are entitled to because you are on their turf.

ilbbaicni- Your feedback is accurate, and my friend’s perspective on OTC hookups is very similar to yours. But, my thinking is slightly different here, and maybe it’s coz I haven’t experienced TJ from that angle yet in all my years of clubbing.

Although you may very well be right about some of these OTC BGs paying the needed mordidas to maintain the peace, coz I have noticed a few in the past seemed always paranoid and looking over there surroundings often as if someone was either watching them or following them. As you mentioned, they most probably know something that I don’t and are just trying to keep a lid on it.

FWIW, in an OTC hookup, you’re staying in a hotel of your choosing, generally outside the Zona Norte. I feel safe in the club and a little uneasy and overly alert walking around the Zona. But OTC hookups outside the Zona feel way safer than that.

RonJax2- All my OTC hookups have always been outside the Zona clubbing area and mostly in the Zona Rio section of TJ (supposedly considered as being one of the safest areas in TJ ). I hardly ever wander around in the zona clubs area as I too feel uncomfortable and reluctant in doing so, leave alone walking in that section with a gorgeous chica and attracting any unwanted attention.

As such so far my experiences have mostly been positive and mind blowing, I’ve never felt unsafe besides maybe a couple of exceptions 👍🏻

@pafbAbs-thanks for the input and I totally agree. Try not to negotiate too much with Chicas as I feel it might sour The experience. That being said, I definitely relate to the importance of clicking with a bar girl first as it can go along way. My upcoming trip I plan on an OTC with a Hong Kong dancer that I connected with During my last visit with Ronjax. Also agree with Ronjax on the safety outside zona norte, as I’m staying at the same hotel in zona Rio. This trip for The OTC and totally feel comfortable. Walking around close area. Good choice 👍🏻 Zona Rio is a nice modern neighborhood in TJ, and supposedly one of the safest areas too besides the playas.The girls love it, and likewise me too coz I feel totally comfortable here.There are some very nice seafood restaurants in this neighborhood as well, besides mouthwatering famous tacos joints.

I am only in Zona Norte area ( solo or with friend/s ), strictly for clubbing only. Even then I stay low-key and avoid wandering around unnecessarily.But, my OTC hookups are always outside this area, and that includes the meetup as well being at some nice restaurant or mall… etc. Safety is always my first priority, and then ofcourse the mind blowing FUN follows😁

I have never ventured out of Zona Norte coz’ felt mongering was accepted and safer there. The OTC seems like a good idea but is it for the whole day or night? Anyone have any getting ripped off experiences? Extortion, etc.? How accepting are the hotels outside Zona Norte of the pros?

tuscl666- OTC is a convenient option IMO, and I’ve been doing it for a while now.Many Zona girls are up for it, especially nowadays considering things are very slow at most clubs besides HK.

For OTC hookups, the main key is to be very selective in choosing the right girl and not rushing into it. For that, you need to be patient and taking your time. After a few OTC hookups, you’ll start feeling more comfortable at this game, and might even start liking it more than the short half-hour sessions inside the club/s.

Pricing for OTC hookups is strictly YMMV, and varies from person to person and from girl to girl.I know my budget well and I am always within that, the girls are happy with the hangouts and I also love it.

My OTC hookups mostly start during daytime and end by nighttime (despite many girls requesting me to spend the night with them.Maybe, someday I might reconsider it but not yet in the near future ), so for me there are no concerns in reference to being ripped off, extortion … etc because I always do the meetings outside the Zona area in more safer/crowded areas like Zona Rio.

Jascoi- You ought to try out OTC, and once you get the hang of it you might even like it more than inside the club half-hour sessions. Since, most Mexican women are quite friendly and they know how to make you feel comfortable very quickly in their company👍🏻

First off, I'm not bashing OTC or saying it is not "as good". There is no right answer for all, we do what we like is the answer. So just sharing thoughts that could maybe be addressed by some of they are false.

I haven't chosen to partake in OTC as well like Jascoi but possibly interested to try. As @ilbbaicnl mentioned, risk does go up even though might not be dangerous as @Pafbabs and @Ronjax2 stated. But can be true. There is a consideration I have to make leaving HK/Cascadas.

Yet honestly which sounds unbelievable to me writing this wasn't the reason why I haven't tried. I have always envisioned OTC as like dating with a girlfriend. I need to be concerned about taking care of her, what gentleman wouldn't. Then it starts in my mind why am I doing all this for her or am I doing too much (simping...I know controversial word, sorry can't think of anything else to articulate).

TLN I'm my imagination starts to feel like real life, the fantasy looks are stripped and "living" with another. Personally paying to share a bed to sleep isn't something that fulfills me, might be more inconvenient unless she doesn't mind being dutch ovened under the covers...lol.

For me, since I live local I have the time on hand to show up at a bare minimum notice for such hookups with these pretty ladies and I also have the needed resources for indulging in OTC ( to a certain limit,without getting myself too involved ). The girls I hang out with know my expectations, and we all have a good mutual understanding.

Also, I don’t partake in overnight stays in TJ (despite many girls always asking for it all the time).I like it simple, starting the Fun at daytime and ending it by nighttime. My out-of-pocket isn’t much more either from the half-hour room-sessions at HK.

All my hookups are based on my terms, with safety always being the No.1 priority. So keeping that in mind, nothing much has changed for me in Tijuana’s OTC hookups compared to our local California clubs, besides the overall FUN increasing three-folds and also the out-of-pocket dropping comparatively by much less than half👍🏻
