With non-profit sex, traditionally, the progression is kissing, then clothed fondling, then skin-on-skin fondling. But, with for-profit sex, kissing in much more intimate than fondling, often out of bounds. Not obvious why that is. Or, is this boomerthink, do the younguns grope before they kiss, even when it's non-profit? I don't remember talk of herpes until the mid 80s. There were just "cold sores", which (as the name implies) were assumed to be temporary, not flareups of a permanent infection. In high school, there were weekly rumors about somebody being at death's door with mono, because they kissed too many different people. I guess the latest with herpes is, it's much more common than people think, because most people who get it are asymptomatic carriers. So doctors advise a Steve Winwood, don't worry too much, it will happen to you attitude.

Be nice, and keep the "I don't let her kiss me till after I give her the rim job" posts to a minimum.

Interesting observation.

A dancer recently asked what my favorite thing to do in VIP was. After a few beats I said, "Kissing!" I surprised even myself. I like it all, of course. But to an earlier post about memorable VIPs, those with deep uninhibited French Kissing - Wow!

I had a dancer that it was "stripper code" not to make out, because of concern over herpes. But, she may have set it up to make me think I was getting a real treat by saying we could only make out in private. Making out is standard for any dancer I see on any kind of regular basis. As far as percentage who make out on first encounter, I would say maybe 20-25%

HPV clears on its own in 90% of cases. The strains that cause cancer generally are distinct from the strains that cause warts.

You can absolutely spread HSV-2 without open sores. Transmission rates are probably subject to debate, but it is generally accepted that they are much higher when open sores are present.

As far as kissing, I'm pretty sure most strippers who don't do it are concerned more about intimacy than disease. Maybe it's just me, but I've literally only had one stripper I can remember cite health as the reason she didn't want to kiss. I don't press for an explanation when they choose not to, so its possible more had that reason tho.

Further, I find it pretty rare that a stripper who'll fuck me won't kiss me. But your premise about the order does hold. For example, when we go into a room ITC, usually she's wiping down the seat with alcohol and then stripping naked and getting right to it. If we start kissing, it's usually more a in the heat of passion type thing, or maybe a post coital cuddle.

The same pattern doesn't hold true OTC though. Those interactions are much more traditional in the order of the bases. We might sit out on the couch and have a cocktail, kiss a little and fondle over the clothes before heading to the bedroom where we ditch the clothes and fondle a bit more before we get down to it.

That tends to make me think it's more environmental. Strippers don't want to make out with customers in the middle of the club, which I can see as totally reasonable. I don't want to do that either, nor do I want to be in a club where that goes down. Sure, we all know what goes down in the dance cubicles or rooms, but doing out in the front just doesn't seem right. And in the room, time is usually short, so focus on other things is sorta understandable.
