It's weird, that news site has some kind of javascript running that prevents one from copying/pasting, so I can't use a translator of choice. (But Chrome as @DD points out will ask if you want it translated.)
Either way, from what I can gather en español, it sounds like a cluster. Human trafficking is no bueno, and the previous owners are toast.
The thing that's unclear to me with my intermediate Spanish is if the bar is going to get sold to new owners. If I'm understanding correctly, that's still being litigated? So who knows?
Every piece of Adelitas news is like shaking a magic 8 ball repeatedly and getting "Reply hazy, try again" every time.
It's a norm in US journalism that news articles should stick to an 8 - 10th grade vocabulary, so they'll be easy to read. Not so generally with Latin American news articles. I think it's saying the owners were ordered to sell the bar, sold it, but then resisted turning in over to the new owners. Doesn't clearly say if the new owners will use the property as a brothel. But what else could you do with it, given the location? The article also talks about how the the two brothers who own it are facing multiple criminal charges. Human trafficking and trafficking of minors. Also, that after their father died, they and other siblings, imprisoned their mother and forced her to sign paperwork related to the inheritance of their father's properties/businesses. It says the equivalent of the registrar of deeds was in on it with them.
ATF1 says she was offered shifts at HK and turned them down, because AB is supposed to open Thursday according to some posting she found. (I don't think she should rely on anything she sees on the internet, but she was happiest when working at AB).
She still has costumes locked up in there since the raid.
I asked a ton of chicas about Adelitas this weekend. A few meseros too.
All of them told me they thought it would reopen soon, with estimates ranging from 2 weeks to 2 months.
I also heard from several who think Claudia Schienbaum is certain to shut down the zona entirely.
Oh, and I talked to one chica who is certain the US lunar landings were faked.
My point being: the Zona rumormill is full of grist. Though, who knows, maybe there's some truth in these Adelita's rumors, because everyone in the Zona seems certain it's gonna re-open.
ilbbaicnl, she says it is because she can work within their system, mostly by leveraging the corruption to her advantage. Example, AB was requiring 15 fichas for every arriba. She does enough arribas to make that a crazy number for her to achieve. Says, usually a $20+ bribe to the manager gets the requirement waived.
For whatever reason, I couldn't copy and paste text from the article, but there was a paragraph that described a dancer getting her head cut off with fucking machete in the club? It seems like a complete turnover in ownership and management would be the only practical option.
@PT - I definitely remember there used to be ficha requirements a while back, so not arguing your point but the last few trips as recently as this weekend but even almost a year ago in February 2024, every girl at HK and BT I asked what were the minimum fichas they needed per day or for other reasons all said, simply, no there are no requirements, it doesn't matter. I said to some, I was shocked, I thought they were tracking how many drinks and they all said no, it doesn't matter.
Honestly, I personally don't know because either they were all telling the truth or all told to say that. I'm doubting there is a requirement now though because some of those girls I was close with.
I think this article, from December 10th, is saying a BC Norte state judge has ordered Adelitas (and Valentinas and Hotel Coahuila) to be returned to the guy (The Godfather) who was running them: https://www.excelsior.com.mx/nacional/ju… . Apparently the Mexican Federal government ordered the properties seized, and is trying to prosecute state-recognized owner and his associates.

The question is when.
