Off topic (sports) anyone think history can be made in NBA playoffs?

Celtics won big tonight. Still trail series 2-3. Teams trailing 0-3 in playoffs 7 game series are zero for 150. I think only 13 times (out of 150) has a 7th game even been forced after trailing 0-3.

Next game is at Miami, but Celts already won there in game 4. Win game 6 and game 7 is in Boston. Miami also had another player out tonight who may have been a starter (Gabe Vincent), but don't know if he's out for awhile or if it is just a one game thing.

Considering how shitty Miami has played I think it’s possible.

This series has been painful to watch thus far, no game has been close yet.

They’re 0-150 because usually the better team is the one up 3-0
    This is different

Yeah. I should of put money on it as soon as Celtics won game 4 in Miami. I think they can pull it off. But if I’m Denver, I’m hoping the heat wake up and end it Saturday. If Boston wins the conference finals, then Denver would be going to Boston for games 1 & 2 as they would have home court advantage. And Denver doesn’t want to play a team that just won 4 straight to get into the finals . It’ll be like the 2004 Red Sox that came back on the Yankees then destroyed the red birds in the WS .

Sf is correct. This was the question on sports talk radio yesterday and none of them could find a 3-0 series where the far higher seed trailed. If the roles were reversed it would be a huge deal. Except for the last 6 quarters the Celtics hadn't played defense like they did last year.

I’m sure some team will come back from a 3-0 deficit in the NBA, it’s happened in the NHL, but I’m not expecting that team to be this hot and cold version of the Celtics.

It has also happened in baseball with the Red Sox down 3-0 to the Yankees and coming back to win. Celtics win by 7 Saturday and 20 Monday. Then on to the finals. Our big bet yesterday both teams to score in the first minute at +152. Thank you Fanduel.

^ The 2023 Celtics aren’t the 2004 Red Sox, it’s possible but unlikely, I wouldn’t bet the mortgage on it.

Tough to keep foot on the gas to win 4 straight in 7 game series down 0-3. Celtics will tire out in either game 6 or 7, regardless of location.

Based on what I've seen of Boston, both this year and last, they have plenty of talent but lack heart and it doesn't take much for them to turn off wanting to play a ball game.

I hope the Heat stomp them out tonight. I don't like the Celtics. I think they're overrated. But since I want them to lose, they will probably win. I hope not, though. Going down 0-3 against an 8 seed PLAY-IN team is abhorrent. They don't deserve to win.

I don't like Jayson Tatum, I think he's overrated, and his personality is dull, next.

Al Horford really thought he was gonna finally win a championship last year against the Warriors, he's an idiot.

Grant Williams is corny AF and it was hilarious to see him talk so much shit to Jimmy Butler and then proceed to get whooped on. Bitch, sit the fuck down. I've never liked him and he just LOOKS annoying.

Derrick White is a huge offender on this list because I get annoyed by just looking at him. The first time I ever saw him I was annoyed by him. I'm personally offended by his hairline.

    Marcus Smart? Marcus dumb.

    Fuck them.

What an unbelievable ending to game 6.

That was insane. The stars aligned for the Celtics in that last half second. Absolutely crazy.

Of course Hairline made the game winner. Of course.

If I had to choose correctly, I'd unfortunately say that the Celtics will win game 7. But I wouldn't put it past the Heat to pull it off if Jimmy shoots better than he did all game.

If the Celtics indeed win this series, at least Denver will be incredibly well rested after sweeping LeBron & friends. The Celtics will have home court, but they'll be out of steam.

    GO DENVER.

i haven't really followed the nba since baseball finally started. a team that won a championship a couple of seasons ago fires the head coach. denver is in the finals. may face miami, the team that caused the firing of that coach.

celts are lucky that herro is injured. if somebody like highsmith can contribute in the next game boston is toast. miami also has a way better coach. the job he did this year was spot on with what he had to work with.

Miami lost lol. The boring celtics beat the hip hop douchbags. Too funny but at least Miami played very hard except for the last .2 seconds.

"The boring celtics beat the hip hop douchbags[sic]."

I don't know what this means. I haven't followed the Miami Heat this season or ever, really, but I follow the NBA in general and, and I don't understand why they're called the "hip hop" team. Are they mentioned in a lot of Drake songs or something? Has someone on their team attempted a career in hip hop? I'm genuinely curious because in my years of following the NBA I've never heard of this. And it's not like Miami is the hip hop capitol of the US, I mean it's definitely behind NYC, LA, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit...

^^ that’s just skidumb’s bias showing through, so basically nothing’s changed.
