  I've got about zero interest in an onlyfans subscription. I've got about the same interest in buying content or online/virtual encounters. Best of luck to you though, there are certainly consumers of that content out there. I don't think many of them are on this site, I expect most here to strongly prefer in person experiences over virtual. I have no idea if that reflects the market at large, the primary focus of this site certainly implies a bias.

  During COVID I joined a few OF accounts from strippers I knew, mainly to just donate to the cause. It was immediately clear when joining a page who put some effort into it and who just posted 4 photos and a 30 second video and expected the money to start rolling in. From what little I’ve experienced you have to put some effort in to keep people coming back if you want repeat subscriptions.

  Just to further explain how bad it is. I spent like $140 in a month trying to get a local OF girl to meet up with me. At the end of the month, OF sent me an email saying I was in the top 2% of spenders sitewide that month. Meanwhile spending $140 a month at the club would probably put me in the bottom 2%. There is just so much more money flowing at the club and for good reason. $40 on OF might get me three 40 second 2d videos. That same $40 will get me a sub to a porn site with unlimited access to full 8k 3D VR videos of incredibly hot girls complete with interactive scripts that connect to sex toys.

  The problem with OF is the competition. You are going up against thousands of other women who are doing the exact same thing. What do you offer that's new? Why should guys subscribe to you? The only positive with OF is that you are reaching a very large customer base (online perverts). Whereas with strip clubs, you are competing against a dozen or so other girls. And your customers can range from 5 to 30 depending on the night but they are each carrying way more money than some online teen who swiped his mom's credit card. Lastly, I don't care how hot your videos and photos are, nothing beats the physical touch of a woman.

  I don’t have issue with OF or webcams or whatever. If that’s what does it for you then have at it. It doesn’t do it for me but web search produced videos or even a pic can be +1. Recently I was looking through a website that had playboy centerfold pics across the years (Free other than ad watching). Oh the memories! Like @ratdog said, a web search will provide good results. He’s spot on for that. But if there is an OF woman that does it for you, IMHO pony up the few bucks to get the full show.

  I've read a few articles on this and other forms of content creation. I also have friends who bring in a bit of money with content creation (but not OF). Broadly speaking, realize that it's not fast money even if you post regularly, communicate with your fans, and put time and money into improving your content, it will take a while to build an audience. Specific to OF, I think that COVID gave some OF girls a false sense of confidence. Because a lot of guys couldn't go anywhere at all, the OF provider only needed to be hot and semi consistent to make some money. That's not true anymore. From what I've seen, the OF providers that are doing better now are the ones catering to specific niches and fetishes that aren't easily found in strip clubs or mainstream sex work. So, maybe study up on long-tail marketing before you launch anything. Good luck.

  OF ultimately costs more than SC, and with no contact and much dissapointment. Also, content is no better than what you can get for free elsewhere on internet. I prefer camgirl sites, particularly the ones where you can tip with tokens tor certain things (show pussy, give head to her man, fingering, dildo, etc), but which are public rooms where you can watch even without tipping. They are fully interactive and live, so it's better than recorded OF videos/photos.

  I've talked to some dancers who tried OF. The girls who do good on OF are those who are good at production and are good at regularly making content. The girls that do well in the club are those with good people skills, and so if you're a long-time dancer you aren't guaranteed success with OF.

  I'd have to agree with the poster who alluded to the fact that this probably isn't the place to get positive opinions on OF. We're a bunch of literally hands on perverts, and the "lesser" (to many here) experience of OF isn't going to satisfy. Do I watch porn? Sure, for free, on a dozen different web sites that my VPN keeps pretty ad-free. (I realize that negates what allows these sites to remain free, but given the intrusiveness and potential danger of many ads on the web, I don't care.) Also, be aware that OF has recently been terminating some accounts for violation of terms. I don't know precisely what those comprised violations, but I've heard that OF doesn't like hardcore BDSM, piss, shit, or blood play. If that's the kind of content you have, direct sales on Twitter is probably a better place. Allegedly Fansly is more forgiving, but I don't know for sure.
