Restart the iPhone and Reset the network settings.

Also; Configure your iPhone to send SMS messages and make sure the android Phone number is not registered with Apple as an iPhone, because sometimes when people goes from iPhone to Android the SIM card the phone number is still registered as an iPhone in Apple’s database.
