Good times in bad strip club towns

New York City. for Manhattan at least you know what if you temper your expectations and resign yourself to the fact VIP is just downright unaffordable, those $20 floor dances with what can be a pretty hot girl really ain’t that bad a deal.
San Diego. San Diego is not the worst strip club city, it’s not. It’s just sandwiched between LA and TJ and yeah that makes it’s look shitty and tame af in comparison. I have had some good times there though.

IME there are two types of "bad" strip club towns, those that are bad for cultural reasons and those that are just extremely expensive.
Memphis, Milwaukee and Charlotte are examples of places that have historically been considered "bad" strip club towns for cultural reasons, but I have been able to find OTC fun in each. Heck Memphis sticks out as the only time when I've ever banged a chick that had freckles from head to toe - it was truly a sight to behold. All it takes is one hot girl in need of a cash infusion to make a night great.
Places like DC and NYC, OTOH, are simply expensive. There is just too much money chasing too few girls. When I was a resident of the NYC metro area, I worked around it by clubbing mostly in CT and Queens, which I still do when I travel up there. Manhattan and DC clubs are predominantly tourist traps. I have no interest in "tempering my expectations" with pointless floor dances or, in the case of DC, even less. When I travel to DC, I often bunk in B'more and commute into DC each day by train.
Then there is Vegas, an animal unique unto itself. It is both expensive and culturally challenging. Fun can be had there, but for me at least it's not worth wading through the endless high octane hustles run by girls looking to fleece tourists who they never expect to see again.
Tbh when I visit places like Vegas, L.A. and DC (when I simply must stay downtown), I choose to keep my powder dry for better venues. I go there, do what I need to do and then gtfo. I suppose if I lived in one of these places I would adjust, but fortunately I do not.
I had carpooled with another guy from our Northern NJ office. We took one of the corporate executive loaner cars. It was a huge Lincoln town car, and as we were driving through the tunnel, one of the front tires started to go flat. We got out of the Lincoln tunnel, and pulled over to assess the situation. We both had a few beers in us, and we were on the side of the street in Jersey City with a flat tire. We found the closest gas station and got a can of fix a flat, and thought we would be set.
As we get back on the highway heading towards the Meadowlands, we get a great idea! We decide to stop and try one of the clubs by the old Giants Stadium. It was a dump compared to the NYC club, but it was perfect for my tastes! There were some filthy Latina dancers, and they offered full service. I have no idea of the name of the club. But it was in an old industrial area near Paterson Plank Road.
As we leave the club, we see the tire is getting very low. So we drive a little way and spray more fix a flat in it. As we drive, one of us keeps his head out the window to see how low the tire is getting, just so we don’t ride on the rim. About half way back to the office the hub cap pops off and rolls and gets flattened by a semi.
We told the corporate fleet guy that the car was a pile of shit, and he needs to make sure the cars are drive able for the executives! I think he would have bought the story if we didn’t smell like stripper perfume, and have glitter on our collars!
I used to have a great time at clubs in SD but, since I'm not into juice clubs, I don't even bother going to clubs in the city I live in anymore. As was said above, one girl can make a visit fun. I just don't bother to look anymore here.
I've had fun at clubs in Birmingham and Mobile Alabama but that may be because I was out with coworkers having as much fun as possible. Milwaukee has some fond memories too. One time I was in a training class in Milwaukee and our instructor had a voluntary long lunch field trip to Heartbreakers.
Hell I've even managed to have a good time on rare occasions and set up otc at the clubs just across the river from Cincinnati and if you can have a good night at a Cincinnati area strip club you can have a good time anywhere because the Cincinnati clubs are absolute garbage.
I never completely write off the clubs in a town. You just have to know what to expect and then decide if the town offers something else that gives you better odds of a fun time.
In SF, my buddies and I go to lower-contact higher end alcohol clubs. And that was part of the fun by itself -- discovering it's fun to day drink with my buddies and with strippers, even if the club is lower contact. But then as we became regulars, and go to know management, a bunch of other nice things happened. For example, other than the occasional new bouncer, it's been years since a bouncer strolled through my VIP (usual policy is that he has to walk through AT LEAST once per song). The girls know it, and yadda yadda, my lower-contact club has been a mid-contact club for me, for years now; I've even gotten extras here and there. There's other things the managers have done for us that I've never told because I don't think anyone would believe me. Anyway, I can go on and on, point is, a local who spends decently, is friendly with the staff, and otherwise has the place wired up, may not be having the same terrible time as the rest of us transient PLs.
Yeah, it annoyed me so much when I was living in Austin and the manager buddies could all waltz into the cabanas (term for VIPs that Austin likes to use for whatever reason) and use it for regular single dances at $20/song BUT then expect the rest of the customers to drop waaay more money than that for cabanas and we dancers needed to push the expensive high end stuff to them.

Also, Milwaukee has always been this interesting place of incongruity between what tusclers claim and dancers claim. Like tusclers claim it’s super strict on contact rules and dancers act like the clubs are mega brothels…? I don’t understand it at all
Rick are the escort rates in Dc and NYC similarly overpriced? Or are those similar rates everywhere? About $400+ an hour
Well I think we use the Milwaukee label loosely to define any club within the Milwaukee vicinity. Any club within the Milwaukee city limits is definitely in the no fun zone, especially anything close to downtown. Milwaukee PD is forever looking for any excuse to harass clubs within the city limits.
Things do tend to loosen up a bit when you get out to places like West Allis and Franklin, but I don't remember either as being a free-for-all. Maybe that's changed, idk.
This would normally fall into the category of boasting but I didn’t really have anything to do with it, so…
Years ago in DC at the Crystal City Diner or Café or something (a very sedate or lame “strip club”) I had lunch and threw some singles at one of the dancers twirling on a pole. After she finished, she came over and sat down with me in the booth where I was eating. I bought her a couple of glasses of wine (the only alcohol the dancers were allowed to drink) and out of the blue she asked me to meet her in one of those restaurants across the way after she got off. Surprisingly she showed up, we drank a few shots and went to my hotel.
Cost: a couple glasses of wine, a few shots and some loose singles. I didn’t understand it then and still don’t but you asked.
On the other hand, the 90's was a great time for the strip club scene. It seemed like every small town had at least one good club where you could see young pretty girls who were clean and not hooked on some kind of junk. Plus, a lot of clubs back then were fully nude and extras were quite plentiful for reasonable prices. I remember living in Erie, PA, in the mid-90's and at some clubs you could suck on a dancers' nipples right on the floor when she was giving a stage dance. Some girls would even spread the legs and shove your face right into their pussy while they were stage dancing! It was such a wild and crazy time at the clubs in the 90's. All you younger fellas missed out on it, and I can see why you're so depressed and angry all the time now.
I generally refer to the whole cesspool area as DC. I know it is in Crystal City, thus the name. When I said years ago, I really mean years ago before the anti-smoking nazis passed their laws. The place was small enough before but when they had to build in a separate room it became awkward. I don’t believe there was any such thing as a private dance back in the day.
