Stripper Boutiques

sinclair
Strip Club Nation
I've noticed maybe five to ten percent of strip clubs have a little shop with dancer outfits or costumes. It might be in a small room or nook of the club. Are these just another hustle for the strip clubs? Guys get thirsty for a particular dancer and start buying her stripper gear marked up to several times their value?

I go to dive bars now. The closest to a stripper boutique I see is the broken condom machine in the shitter that still has ten year old rubbers in there somewhere that no one will ever use in the club.

But in short, I e gone to some and have been asked to buy them shoes at the boutique. I say no

A decade ago I used to see often this but it’s rare these days. I always thought, most of those outfits looked like they’ve been sitting there since 1998 usually covered in dust.

I think they’d make more money if they’d sell used panties instead for PLs to leave with. My buddy used to own a dry cleaners and a stripper always came in with these elaborate outfits, I think she was a traveling stripper. We used to joke that when she came in he spent the rest of the day sniffing the crotches of all her outfits.

Yeah I’ve seen those never went in. On these ones that make you pass through the store like Larry Flynts in East St Louis and Show and Tel in Philly I never see anybody shopping in them

Some of those shops give girls discounts. But I've seen some where they charged a lot and made girls get their outfits there. But a lot of shops compete and give pretty good discounts like the deja vu ones

Follies used to have a ladies room attendant that repaired costumes and sold new ones as well.

I know that at least one house mom at Vivide is selling new and used costumes in the dressing room.

Heartbreakers in Columbia SC had a sex shop right next door that was owned by the same club owner.

there used to be more around here when there were more clubs.
now there's more travelling salespeople that set-up shop in a corner of a club on certain nights.

I always figured these boutiques were relics from a previous era, like before the internet when it was harder for dancers to find stripper gear. I have only once seen one of these boutiques actually in use. Last autumn, I was sitting near the boutique area in a strip club and saw a guy buy his CF dancer a pair of stilleto heels for $120.

shailynn, you are right. If they sold g-strings "scented" by the club's entertainers, the boutiques would be getting more action.

Newer seen those kinds of shops myself. Sounds good.

We had one Vietnamese Lingerie Modelling Shop. It was great, mostly the same as an AMP. It did not last long at all.

Yeah; I was thinking that perhaps back-in-the-day when online-shopping was less of a thing; that perhaps this was more of a thing.

I also think that perhaps clubs in smaller markets where there may not be nearby stores to cater to the dancers; that perhaps one may see them more.

But I would think the # of clubs with these boutiques is likely more like 1% vs 5% or 10% - off the top of my head; I can only think of one club in the areas that I have clubbed where I recall seeing this (that was back in the Fall of 2018 when I was in Dallas for a few days and visited a club in Euless about 30 minutes west of Dallas closer to Fort Worth).

I assume those boutiques are there in part to help out a dancer in an emergency (she hadn’t had time to do laundry; or her outfit got dirty or ruined at the club; or a new girl working at the club and she doesn’t have the gear; etc)?

Need to keep the women in slut uniforms. Sometimes they need an upgrade.

Best though when you will be able to spend some real time with them. We need to set up venues like this.

I don't think I have ever seen a customer buying anything for their favorite dancer at these boutiques. I do remember a guy years ago asking a dancer if the store out front carried the outfit she had on became wanted to buy one for his wife to relive the experience at home.

I always just assumed they are similar to the snap-on type tool trucks where they figure they can charge a higher price by playing up the convenience factor of selling workers the tools they need right at the workplace. However, unlike the snap-on truck the products at these boutiques don't seem to be high quality.

^ Shailynn asking that because he wonders. This time it is a short stint, from Pecos to Midland, riding along with his mom in the Pacifica. It was actually the Pastor of the West Texas Christian Glee Club who bought Shailynn his cell phone. Shailynn has got quite a following. Mostly old ladies, but hey, that is where they get their money. So Shailynn knows he has to keep wearing that Kevlar reinforced vulcanized rubber jock strap which keeps his voice from changing.

I think most of these niche boutiques are gone now, anything the dancers want can be purchased on Amazon.com and free one or two day delivery, easy returns, etc.. i doubt that many of these boutique set-ups are used very often.
A number of years ago, a women that used to be a dancer would make theses clothing items and travel to the clubs selling clothes to the girls, and taking orders for sizes, to sell for pre-orders.

I've bought outfits for dancers a few times at the club shops and it's usually about the price of a lapdance.

It's common in my area. But sometimes you won't know a club sells stripperwear unless one of the dancers tells you. It has to fit well so hard to buy it mail order.

Sjg that's one of the most dehumanizing things I've ever read on tuscl and that's saying a lot.

"But I would think the # of clubs with these boutiques is likely more like 1% vs 5% or 10% - off the top of my head; I can only think of one club in the areas that I have clubbed where I recall seeing this"

Papi, 1% means only 15 clubs in the entire United States. Just in my limited experience of visiting strip clubs out on the road, I have seen 30-40 clubs with boutiques. You need to travel more to understand the national scene.

I assume they may be more popular in certain areas - I used the 1% approximation since I only recall one club with a boutique in the ~120+ clubs I've visited both as a TUSCLer and b/f I was a TUSCLer.

Sinclair was trying to be polite.

Does every Hustler Club have one or only some of them? Some of Deja Vu's have them, too, right? Three of the clubs local to me I can think of had them, but technically one of them closed and I dunno know if the rebranded club will keep theirs.

The sex shops at Hustler's and Deja Vu's are not exactly what I was thinking of when I made the original post because they sell porno, sex toys, condoms, lube, and lots of other stuff in addition to dancer wear. Those are more like Lions Den or Adam & Eve type of stores.

Back in the Golden Age when New Orleans had 16+ strip clubs in just the French Quarter alone, there were several small stores around the Vieux Carre that were like the Stripper Supply Co. This was back when there was a huge dancer population in the city. There might be 150-350 dancers collectively in these clubs on any given night. The only shop left that deals in stripper wear is QT Pie Boutique on Dauphine Street.

A lot of the clubs sell stripper outfits in the back even if they don’t have a shop out front.

Don’t even ask me to say which clubs because it’s been so long I can’t even remember… a lot of clubs over the years (often usually close to an interstate exit for some odd reason) has sex shops / lingerie stores in them. Some of them, you even had to walk through to get to the strip club. These clubs were almost always dumpy and often calling them a “club” would be a loose term. They usually had a decent sized room off the retail shop that had a stage, some seating and pretty much was a lap dance factory with a bar that often only served beer and soda. Most of these places had no VIP room, just dances at your table or a stripper would drag you over to a seat off in the corner.

I always thought places like this would be great grounds for OTC or some action when the club was dead but usually that wasn’t the case. The dancers were heavily monitored and these clubs were in places where the community didn’t want them, so they knew doing anything extra could jeopardize the whole business. I wouldn’t expect all the strippers working there to understand that but I’m sure management and owners did.

I imagine most of these clubs didn’t survive COVID if they even lasted that long.

^ I remember a few places like that, never went in any of them, but I remember one in particular off I75 near Gainesville, reason I remember it they also had a truck stop same exit, and I did a bunch of business in Gainesville back then.
I think that maybe some of the clubs have house moms that sell that stuff too.

^ yes you’re right I forgot to mention there usually was a truck strip near by. I remember you’d pass dozens of these places if you were going from Philly all the way to Indianapolis. Baltimore to Colombus.

I think this is run by Deja Vu and next to or part of a club. Don't know if you can take girls in their from the club, but that would be nice. A nice way to spend some money on them if you want to make an impression and be bedding them soon. Also, you might not like the way they dressed in them club, footwear might be substandard.

This says it is in Rancho Cordova. But I believe they have something like this in Vegas too.
