  The reality doesn't live up to the hype. It's work, you're fucking under klieg lights. You have to keep a boner for a long ass time, not finish (or take a break if you do). You're being told what to do and when. Switch positions, move your ass so we can get a better shot. A lot of them start as gay-for-pay, they might just getting their dicks sucked by another man but it's still being with a man. You might have to bang some disgusting chick, after all, some guys like 70 year olds and 400 pounders. There's no more emotional intimacy than between you and any of your coworkers.   3 things that are fun to me and bring me joy: Gambling (sports betting and playing poker) Sex Playing basketball I would not want to have any of them be my job aka sole source of income - and I’d probably go broke if I had to rely on any of them as my sole source of income.   It's certainly a problem in porn, that performers are sometimes coerced to do things they don't consent to, that is, they are sexually assaulted. On the other hand, when women want to transition from porn stardom to being a celebrity of another type, claims of victimization seem get a lot of attention and support. You escape the dumb ho stigma by claiming you never freely choose to be in porn. Getting a divorce from porn is like getting a divorce from your spouse, being effective at claims of being a victim can be very profitable.

  You should do some research before making a post like this - as James Deen is a miserable dude. As PSD and others mentioned, he’s been accused of raping costars. He’s fucked thousands of women, and he is such a POS that he also raped several. He’s not someone to idolize. It’s a job, and these guys need the money, so it’s not the wild time it might appear to be. So, no thank you.

  A long time ago, when I lived in Los Angeles, I knew a couple of guys who worked in porn. Except, these guys worked behind the camera and not in front of it. They lived in the apartment a few doors down from mine and I shot the bull and drank beer with them every so often. One night, they invited me over to a "watch party" at their place where they were going to screen the final cut of their latest production for some of the actors and crew. Anyway, watching a porno with several of the actresses and actors in the room giving live commentary on the scenes and what was going on in the background was probably the weirdest episode of MST3K I've every watched. It also strangled to death any fascination I might have had with regard to working as a porn actor.
