It's certainly a problem in porn, that performers are sometimes coerced to do things they don't consent to, that is, they are sexually assaulted.

On the other hand, when women want to transition from porn stardom to being a celebrity of another type, claims of victimization seem get a lot of attention and support. You escape the dumb ho stigma by claiming you never freely choose to be in porn. Getting a divorce from porn is like getting a divorce from your spouse, being effective at claims of being a victim can be very profitable.

A long time ago, when I lived in Los Angeles, I knew a couple of guys who worked in porn. Except, these guys worked behind the camera and not in front of it. They lived in the apartment a few doors down from mine and I shot the bull and drank beer with them every so often.

It also strangled to death any fascination I might have had with regard to working as a porn actor.
