Tom Brady moving to Miami

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen were spotted touring their newly purchased $17 million Miami Beach property over the weekend.

The A-list couple were joined by pals as they walked around the waterfront pad on the exclusive Indian Creek Island, dubbed Miami’s “Billionaire Bunker.”

Brady, 43, and Bündchen, 40, slapped down the sizable sum just before the new year, with plans to demolish the current house and build a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly home.

The lot spans approximately two acres with 200 feet of ocean views.

Amenities on the island include a private country club, a golf course, and only about 30 bayfront homes. It also boasts its own police force.

Previously, the NFL star and supermodel were temporarily staying at Derek Jeter’s waterfront Tampa mansion after Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year. Jeter’s home, listed in September 2020, remains on the market for $29 million.

Their move comes a month before they sold their New York City Tribeca apartment for a whopping $36.8 million.

The plot of land they purchased spans nearly two acres.

The duo will join Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, who have also recently snapped up a $32 million plot, as well as hotel magnate Jeffrey Soffer and supermodel Adriana Lima.

Shit - didn't notice that article was from early 2021 - thought it was recent

It amazes me how these very wealthy folks buy these beautiful properties - with beautiful large homes - and they tear them down. They have so much money, it’s like nothing to them to do this.

It’s a great spot, and the frontage is impressive too.

Let's hear it for global warming putting Miami Beach underwater!

^ it’s really not that simple, depending on where you are in Miami there are many flooding events taking place on a perfectly sunny day, there is a very complicated canal system that costs a fortune to maintain, and believe it or not, there’s more flooding in Miami than on the barrier island, much of it has to do with how much we’ve paved the swampland so there’s no place for the excess water to drain off.

^ I was being facetious, but according to the alarmists, all of Florida is going to be a coral reef in a couple decades.

That’s not true, but it’s going to become excessively complicated and expensive to live on the beach and the parts of Miami like Brickel and Coconut Grove, that are on the water will need sea walls and flood control barriers. It not all going to be underwater but there will be a change in the way we live here in order to preserve our investments.

He’s got at least one more year in him. I can’t see him retiring before he gets to appear in one more Super Bowl. They just need to get him 1 or 2 better receivers. I bet if Antonio Brown didn’t have a meltdown they would have pulled off a win.

"If scientists are right, the lower third of the state will be underwater by the end of the century."

Guess I was a few years off, but not from AOC's predictions.

Maybe that’s why they are taking the current house down, the new eco-friendly house will be built on stilts?

^ They build on stilts only for Basketball players, football players have to deal with flooding

I love how they tear down the old house, but go out of their way to call the new one eco friendly. Sure, the new one is 8% more energy efficient. But it would have been 90% more efficient overall to just leave the existing structure there for another 10 years, not to mention the 30-50 it would probably last.

Certain parts of Miami Beach have serious flooding issues due to the king tides - they've had to install massive pumps but still not enough to eliminate flooding - some parts of Miami Beach have already been raised

Tom might make even more money if he mounts cameras around his house - and can get some shots of Ivanka out sunbathing nude. He could start an only fans account and make a few million!

"... It amazes me how these very wealthy folks buy these beautiful properties - with beautiful large homes - and they tear them down. They have so much money, it’s like nothing to them to do this ..."

The rich get richer - the article says he sold his NY apt for almost $37-million - so he can use that to build his new crib and maybe even have some $$$ left over although I have no idea how much it would cost to build the mansion he wants to build.

Yeah - I guess we will all be living in houseboats at some point - there'll even be floating SCs

Papi - I think Pete Davidson (and a few others) just bought an old Staten Island Ferry with the intent of turning it into a floating comedy club.

A floating strip club might not be far off.

It's not going to be a coral reef, cause all the coral dead or dying....

While they are busy wining and crying about taxes and government waste, they'll get federal funding to build a seawall around the place that goes wildly over budget and a huge series of pumps they won't maintain...
