Was bored the other night and was sifting thru the list of recommended videos on YouTube on my TV for something interesting to watch.
Came across a pretty-interesting video - it was a documentary of the 1981 movie "Cannonball Run" - more precisely the documentary was about the Lamborghini Countach used in the movie and the history behind the car and its original and subsequent owners.
I loved that movie and loved the Lambo in the movie - some things I didn't know about the Lambo:
-
although the movie came out in 1981 it was a 1979 Countach
-
the guy that created the tanning oil company Hawaiian Tropic, Ron Rice, was the 2nd-owner of the car - he knew Burt Reynolds as well as the director of the movie and offered them the Lambo for it to be used in the movie
Vid is a bit long but I thought it was very entertaining and interesting (if you were a fan of the movie):

Great movie with a lot of cool cars and Burt Reynolds was the coolest dude at one point.

Ahhh, Hawaiian Tropic.
When I was 17-19 or 20, I was a pool boy at a resort in Scottsdale, and worked with a girl who had just quit touring as a bikini model for Hawaiian Tropic. That was such a fun job...
