U.S. hedge fund billionaire and philanthropist Michael Steinhardt has surrendered $70 million of stolen antiquities and accepted a first-of-its-kind lifetime ban on acquiring antiquities to resolve a criminal probe, Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance said on Monday.
According to prosecutors, the antiquities obtained by Michael Steinhardt, were looted and illegally smuggled out of 11 countries, trafficked by 12 criminal smuggling networks.


I wonder when the British Museum, and all the other museums and collectors hosting such are going to give them up.
