I have mixed feelings about this. As someone who spends too much time with strippers I am very sympathetic to her plight. But as a parent to three school aged kids, I can also see where the school is coming from. They can't be seen as endorsing or even approving of a parent getting naked online for money.

rickdugan I can see where you are coming from but I'm not sure that just by allowing her to volunteer to help with her kid's school activities they are endorsing her job. If she were going around telling everyone about her OF account I could see that as a problem, but if she is discrete about it I doubt it would be a problem. Who is the school to tell someone that their perfectly legal job is a problem. If the school goes that route there would be a lot of parents that couldn't help out at the school because other parents don't like their job.

Some legal jobs that other parents might not want the school to "support" by allowing them to volunteer:
- Doctors that perform abortions - ​would upset many on the far right
- Cops - would upset many on the far left
- Politicians - would upset 99% of people  that hate politicians
- Bartenders - would upset people that hate alcohol
- Dispensary workers in places where marijuana is legal - kind of go against the "just say no" programs in most schools
- Tax Auditors - really who doesn't hate them

The list could go on forever because there are a ton of jobs that people hate. On the other hand you could also ban people who don't work and live off of public welfare programs because that offends a lot of people.

^ I hear ya' whodey. While I'm sure that analogizing doctors, cops and tax auditors to a woman who is paid for sexually explicit content sounds great in your head, many parents will see a much clearer distinction. To them she is one of those people who creates the very type of online content that many of those parents work diligently to shield their kids from. For many parents that will be enough to object to engaging with their children in the school.

Optics matter, regardless of how much rationalizing we do about how it's not right, or it's a private account, she's discrete, etc., etc.

To be clear, I'm sympathetic to her plight. Many of my historical favorites have been Moms and I have nothing but respect for what they are willing to do to support their children. But if you are going to work in a sexually explicit job and you wish to interact with other people's children you'd best do a better job of hiding it than she did.

I had a favorite once who was outed by a guy who spotted her while visiting a club. He was the father of a girl who was a close friend to this stripper's daughter. You can probably guess how this story goes - her daughter became ostracized once word got around as other parents would no longer allow their kids to play with the daughter. It sucks and it's thoroughly unfair, but many parents don't want even a whiff of that world anywhere near their kids.
