Houston Club in the 90's

The Square Above Charlie Weaver
About 25 years ago I was taken by one of our salesmen to a high end club in Houston. I know this was literally a generation ago, but someone may know of the club. Hell, it may still be there. I was pretty drunk, but here goes.

It was a large freestanding building. It was a high end club. It was lit up and had a large covered drive in front. I remember the main stage was back center and as you entered you had the choice of the lower level or paying a VIP fee to go up a wide staircase to a balcony that went the length of the left side of the club. There may have been another on the right side. It was probably 15 feet or more above the floor. I remember the balcony was maybe 20-25 wide and 50-60 feet deep. there were bathrooms and maybe a small bar (or maybe another staircase to a lower bar?) at the back wall opposite where the stairs came up. Waitresses came and went from the back of the balcony. The balcony was filled with high backed chairs and some big upholstered chairs, too. I remember we had maybe three dancers with us. All gorgeous. They built the chair fort at the back near the restrooms. I just remember my dick being out the whole time and it was either being played with, sucked or ridden most of that time. People passed going to/from the back area and no one seemed to care. We were up there for maybe 2 hours.

I have no idea what this guy paid to entertain me like that, but I bet he dropped more than a grand. That was for two of us because his dick seemed to be buried in some part of a dancer much of the time we were up there.

Was this the St James?

The layout sounds like the St. James. Treasures had a different layout but also had an upstairs and the high backed chairs where lots of stuff happened.

Stripper forts! I remember these as I was just getting into the strip climb game back then and BOOM it all ended in Houston.

St James had/has a cover over the entrance, it looked like a large mansion.

I pulled up their web site. That looks familiar. I read a review that there is no single day admission to the upper VIP. It costs in the thousands of dollars to join! I guess that is one change for the worse since about 1996.

WAY back in the day (I was in my early 20s) there was an escort / strip club review site called ASPD all broken down in regions. The most active regions on that board for some reason were Pittsburgh and Houston. The Houston board had all kinds of insane stories of hijinks at the clubs down there... then one day the city laid down the hammer on strip club ordinances and everything changed what seemed like overnight.

@Shailynn. I met up with a guy from Houston that was always on the ASPD board. He took me to a Group of Massage parlors called Escape. Fun place to go to when I was in Houston on business a lot in the early 2000's.

In turn, I took him down to Adelitas in TJ when he came to San Diego.

That was maybe 12-15 years ago? I remember reading reviews of a place called Michael's that sounded completely wild, but I remember reading that the party was over. I think that is now Chica Loca's.

Do you remember what part of the city this club was in ? The good ones then were

St James near the airport,
Treasures - this may be your place
Centerfolds - not high end
Mens Club - Doesn't have an upstairs.

All are still open but not near as wild. A certain Lesbian mayor put the end to all of that.

I’m not a Houston guy but I went to Treasures around 2005. Had a very good time. I don’t as in my 20s and got extras from 3 girls in one night.

“Lesbian Mayor” aren’t Libs supposed to allow liberal behavior ?
It’s all backwards now.

I used to travel to Houston several times a year and aspd.net was my roadmap to a LOT of fun. The OP’s club visit was probably St. James but the description of the layout sounds a lot like Centerfolds. I agree with somebody’s comment that CFs was not high end, but their balcony was legendary. The general area along Westheimer between the Galleria and the Sam Houston tollway loop had an incredible density of strip clubs, “relaxation studios”, massage parlors, and more to keep any man entertained and drained. The Escape empire had about six locations, all staffed with rotations of stunning women with FS available for about $240 for an hour of fun. The girl in my avatar photo was one of the more famous Escape girls, a total playmate blonde hottie with 38DDs, and she was just one of dozens. Alas all good things came to an end on what became known as Black Tuesday. All the studios were busted and closed down, new city ordinance for clubs, and suddenly Disneyland for guys was no more. There’s still plenty of fun in Houston, but it’s merely a shell of what it once was.
