Never made the drive across the river when in STL, but thinking about crossing over next visit. Are all the clubs here as shady as the look? One club actually has a 24 hour massage trailer next door and they all look like tiny warehouses/storage sheds from the outside

I expected ghetto, and maybe it's just the images I saw were bad angles or outdated but they look terrible. It's not exactly like KC is known for having nice clubs, 1 club has bullet holes in the door here they never bothered to fix so I don't think my standards are high

If you are going, I would suggest the daytime first. There are two or three areas where the clubs are located, most are among the shadiest areas I have visited. That being said, I went during the day on more than 10 occasions and never had an issue at all. (I have not been there in 5 or 6 years).

I was in St. Louis two years ago for a convention and drove across the river several times for entertainment. Went on Monday night the first time for a place in Brooklyn that advertised a talent show at midnight. This week it never happened, or if it did it was staged after 1:30 am. The next night I went to Washington Park. You are right, some of the places are dumps, but others near the Interstate are quite fashionable and well-kept. You get higher mileage at the stages and in the VIPs at the places that are deeper in town. The one place right near the Interstate exit was a waste of time.
there was a place near thee north end of town (actually two places across the street from each other). There are two places out on the end side of town about a half-mile north of the Interstate that were "interesting". I think one is "Blondie's" on the north side of the street. Not much happening when you first walk in but there was entertainment in the rear. The other fwas farther down the street right at the edge of town on the right. regular rotation of dancers on stage, with small VIP booths along the left wall. I saw some good dancers on stage and took one 30 year old into a booth for a satisfying lap dance. Topless, bottomless, and very hands on. What disappointed me was that none of them were the equal of the ghetto places in West Philadelphia or Prince Georges County Maryland. There you can get full contact lap dances for $5 to $8 if you play your cards right.

They are more shady and ghetto than any clubs (I club in the midwest 99% of the time) I have been to in my life. That said, the are a lot of fun and worth crossing the river for. The few East St Louis clubs I have been to all offer great mileage.

Like others have said you may want to start with daytime visits if you are unsure whether you feel safe enough (you won't feel completely safe) in the neighborhoods.

I had a long weekend in St. Louis about five years ago and made the trip to Washington Park to check things out. Yeah, most of the clubs are dumps, but I felt very safe on a Saturday night and the girls, while not model material, were fun to talk and play with. It's at least a one-time checkout experience for any monger.

Washington Park - Hustler, Scarlett's, and Miss Kitty's are on Bunkum Rd immediately off Hwy 64. A relatively quick drive from the Busch Stadium area. I have never felt unsafe at any of these clubs. The first two are pretty typical mid level strip clubs. Miss Kitty's is more local bar with titties, definitely more of a dive than the other two.

Driving farther into Washington Park takes a little more intestinal fortitude, esp. late night, but that is where the everything goes clubs are. These are bottom of the barrel dives, so don't go looking for ambiance or entertaining stage shows. Wise Guys, Dollie's, and Blondie's occasionally have a diamond in the rough, but often it is just the rough. Over the years I have had many good times here, so I always check them out when I'm in town.

Brooklyn - Ten years ago this area was a blast with 4 VHM clubs clustered together. Three of the clubs shut down over the years. (Roxy's was wild and missed.) Personally, I just avoid the area at this point.

Centreville - Onyx is a pretty nice urban club if you are into big booty Black dancers. As a 60 year old white guy, I have never felt unsafe or out of place at this club. Having said that, I haven't been in about 2.5 years and unfortunately our society is more polarized these days, so who knows if I would still be welcomed.

In general, you really wouldn't want your car to breakdown in any of the Townships I just named, but with common sense and earlier in the evening visits they can be rewarding.

I am blown away by the grouping of clubs here, literally nothing but run down houses then like 4 clubs all next to each other. The amount of burned down houses is also pretty Nuys, I'd say atleast 15%

If you are staying downtown in St. Louis, the country rock caberet is an option. It is less than a five minutes drive/uber. In terms of aesthetics, it is nice compared to the washington park/Brooklyn clubs.

Diamond Cabaret was a solid club I thought. It's the best talent in the area (although still not that great but not bad) and you can have fun there.

St.Louis is one seriously ghetto ass city though, it's almost incredible to see. At one point do you start have to send in Marines? It's like that.

Send a PM to Nidan111. He will give you advice for what areas to go that are extra safe 😝

Lol on two separate times, I’ve gotten an Airbnb in the hood. One of them was alright, had no problem going to a laundromat or getting groceries or anything. I didn’t really talk to anybody and nobody talked to me. Another Airbnb in the hood was an oddball one. I would take my dog for a walk, and constantly neighbors (from whatever townhouses that weren’t blatantly dilapidated and abandoned) were coming up to me warning about not being out after dark. Oh, and I was also in a house that was also a foodbank every Friday, and also community yoga classes were available. And the owner was a while woman from Austin with dreds and told me how she was trying to fight gentrification in the neighborhood. I found her goal head scratching when we were the two individuals who had the least amount of melanin on the block and were probably the least qualified to make a judgement on keeping the neighborhood the same, but I kept my opinion to myself.

Ah good times. 😊 Probably should just stayed out in the suburbs nearby nice white people things like REI and PF Chang’s, but I like to think of it as a cultural experience lol.

@Member that's Hollywood for you. 😂

When I lived in Missouri back in the 80's it was local knowledge that you don't even stop at stop signs and red lights whilst passing through East St. Louis at night.

I drove around for an hour, while it didn't really feel unsafe there was just nothing there everything was empty, burned, and spray painted. While alot of the homes looked liveable they were often next to a house that caught of fire and let to rot. I am sure alot of the clubs can be fun, but I can't imagen it would be from anyone that would be clean. I pulled into the AMPS across from Oynx and a old Asian women looked like the Asia Kaitlyn Jenner ran after me telling there are young, beautiful girls inside and she would line the up for me. It was more sad there then unsafe from what I saw but it was raining and early afternoon. My cousin lived in stl and they would sometimes go to east after work, they'd have to call a dozen cab companies to find one willing to go over there

This post reminds me of neighborhoods in south Brooklyn and the Bronx from thirty years back, gentrification is sometimes necessary and the unfortunate part of all this is that the common thread in the destruction of these old neighborhoods is drugs not strip clubs

I wonder what is more shady: the ESL dive clubs or XTC in San Antonio 😅
