What's the best club that nobody ever heard of?

What's the best club you've ever been to that nobody else here has ever heard of? I actually have 4 that I'd recommend (I used to seek out such places), 3 in PA and one just across the border in NJ - (1) Filly Corral Showbar, on I-70 south of Pittsburgh (Bones, that's not far from you and definately worth a trip). I'd be a regular here if I lived closer, it's my kind of place. (2) Pleasure Dome, in White Manor (in the Poconos close to I-80.) (3) Partners Tavern, in Erie (4) Erotic Cafe, just across the NJ border from north Philly. All great clubs but a bit quirky. Highly recommended. Write for details.

Correction - White Manor (above) should read White Haven. White Manor is a hotel near White Haven. There may also be a town by that name, not sure and I'm too lazy to look it up.

Interesting topic. My "diamonds in the rough" 1) Ruby's II, Bridgeport CT -a biker bar, BYOB, and some brazilian girls (scary and fun at the same time) 2) Bandaids, Phoenix - small, neighborhood bar atmosphere, great place to become a regular and reap the rewards 3) Candy Store, Tucson AZ - just mentioned by a guy in another post - $5 laps, $10 in VIP

I remember several years ago if you wanted to see some top 10 eye candy all over the place, Pure Gold in Southern Pines, NC would be the place to be especially when there was a golf tournament in town. Nothing but air dances but if you were just a spectator watching everyone else's table dances and nice tits everywhere, that was nice. Maybe we should break this down further by best club for eye candy and table dance prices versus best club overall and best club for lap dances. Just a thought.

I also used to enjoy a club called Diamonds in Greenville, SC. The girls got nude and one girl in particular really had my attention. She had everyone's attention. I think she posed for some major mens magazine as well. The city succeeded in closing it down.

My personal favorite club is Shotgun Geniez in Hamburg, Iowa. If you can stand the $20 cover, which I think of as the price you pay for going to a BYOB club, it has a little bit of everything. They got $25 nude lapdances, a $1 tip sometimes gets them dancing nude in your lap, $100 champagne room for 15 minutes, which sometimes comes with extras, and some wild and crazy ladies, who sometimes do lesbian shows. Of course, you got to drive to Hamburg, Iowa for that, which is the middle of nowhere, but it is not far off the interstate. For pure extras, Trop 56, or Tropicana (I think it has gone under both names in the past) at US 56 and US 75 south of Topeka, KS is it, or at least has been. I think it depends on LE's current attitude about the place, which is seemingly always in a state of transition.

About 25 years ago fashion shows started appearing at regular bars in Chicago. Occasionally they would be advertised by a simple poster in the window but generally you had to find out by word of mouth. In the early years girls would come around and show you their outfit. You would buy a raffle ticket and at the end of the show you might win something: the lingerie they were wearing, a garter, maybe a free drink, and sometimes porn. The girls would travel from one bar to another putting on 2 or 3 hour shows. More recently they stopped showing you their outfit and started giving you something more like a lap dance for a fee. Municipalities would sometimes bust the shows. This seems odd, but if they were not wearing pantyhose the girls would be charged with prostitution. The traveling shows found homes at certain bars and the girls quit traveling. The bars in Melrose Park, IL are well documented on TUSCL with One Step being the only one that doesn't require pantyhose. There are a couple of bars that still have girls on a part time basis. The only two that I know of are in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on McDowell Ave. near 47th and Ashland. One has girls on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. The other on Thursday and Saturday evenings. In the Chicago tradition, these place operate almost like a speakeasy. Dress like a construction worker, try not to look like a cop and shouldn't have any trouble getting in. I love TUSCL but I think that it is best that we not post these bars. Too much attention will get them shut down. If anyone else knows about other "fashion show" bars, please let me know by e-mail.

Raincoat - Your thread brought back memories for me. I remember, about 25 years back also, that while traveling on TDY for the military, I happened by sportsbars that had lingerie shows in the New Orleans area, Chicago area, and Memphis area. I don't think back then the girls were required to wear pantyhose, but they did receive tips. I had one a "worn" lingerie outfit one time in Metarie, LA. Dump it before going home of course.

I also remember running into fashion shows in upscale restaurants in the South (Atlanta or maybe Florida?) but that was well over 25 years ago. I used to hang out fairly regularly in an upscale cocktail lounge in DC where all the barmaids and waitresses wore skimpy nighties with nothing underneath. Very pleasant way to relax.
