When you encounter a sex worker who doesn't speak English well, how worried should you be that she's getting pimped? By which I mean, not free to quit, not getting a fair share of the money, not free to reject clients, not free to live where she wants or do what she wants on her off hours. I've read that sometimes women get pimped just under the threat of being snitched on to immigration. Or sometimes they are threatened with what will happen to their family members back home. I had some really good dates with a couple of smoking hot Korean escorts. But it was through an agency, and their English was really bad. Worried me how vulnerable they might be.

    @random, I read that article, as well as regular AMP busts in the northeast. I won't patronize them for that reason, and I think "does she speak passable English" is the best surrogate marker for their autonomy.
