IDK the details, but if his administration was pivotal in achieving significant peace in the Middle-East (Israel/UAE peace treaty), then it'd be worthy of consideration based on such achievement.

Why is that funny? Papi's right--Trump's role in securing a peace deal between the UAE and Israel justify it. What's really funny is Obama winning it his first year in office for doing absolutely nothing, which proves the Nobel committee is another political organization that would never award it to Trump no matter what.

Barack Obama won the Peace Prize for being the first Black President. Literally. He was given the award just for being elected.

Trump brokered peace between UAE/Israel as well as Serbia/Kosovo. He is the first US President in generations who didn’t get us involved in a new war.

If Trump wins, I can see the Dems spending $50m of the taxpayer money investigating the committee to see if they have Russian ties. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@Mark94 - if I recall correctly, Obama was actually awarded the Nobel Peace Prize before he even took office.

And that's the problem with the award - it means nothing.

So it is hard for me to get excited about Trump being nominated. But he does have some serious foreign policy accomplishments.

It's a shame that the name of the inventor of dynamite was discredited by an award like the Nobel Peace Prize.

On Obama this is from the Nobel.org site. Also note nominations had to be made by Feb1, which means he was nominated for his work as President after being in office a max of 12 days.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009 is to be awarded to President Barack Obama for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. The Committee has attached special importance to Obama’s vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons.

The world is going through the biggest realignment since WW II. It’s not just confronting China. The EU project seems to be falling apart. The Middle East is embracing Israel and confronting the Persians. North America is becoming a single trade block. Much of South America is embracing economic freedom and rejecting fascism and socialism. India is confronting corruption and opening to the world.

Just as WW II began a 75 year era of history, I think we are living in the early years of a century long era of nationalism and reformed democracy. The losers will be the globalist “elite” who controlled all the levers of power in the prior era.

The Arab League refused a Palestinian Authority initiative to condemn the AE’s normalization and appears to have pressured the PA into softening its position. The handwriting is on the wall for the PA.

Chad, an African republic with a majority Muslim population, has announced it will establish diplomatic relations with Israel and will consider putting its embassy in Jerusalem.

Saudi Arabia has announced that they will allow Israeli airliners to fly over their airspace traveling east toward the Gulf and beyond to Asia. This will cut several hours of flying time off of flights, and vastly enhance the ability of businesses to form new deals and tourists to travel. It makes clear that Saudi Arabia is following the path of the UAE.

The announcement Wednesday of U.S. troop withdrawals from Iraq and Afghanistan marks another step forward by President Trump to give the two nations greater responsibility to provide for their own security with continuing American support.

"The United States has decided to reduce our troop presence inIraq from about 5,200 to 3,000 troops during the month of September," Marine Gen. Frank McKenzie, the top U.S. commander in the Middle East, announced in Baghdad.

As part of the Peace agreement between Israel, UAE, and Bahrain, they signed the Abraham Accord, shown below. Another 7 to 9 countries, including Saudi Arabia, are expected to join the Accord in the near future..

“We, the undersigned, recognize the importance of maintaining and strengthening peace in the Middle East and around the world based on mutual understanding and coexistence, as well as respect for human dignity and freedom, including religious freedom.

We encourage efforts to promote interfaith and intercultural dialogue to advance a culture of peace among the three Abrahamic religions and all humanity.

We believe that the best way to address challenges is through cooperation and dialogue and that developing friendly relations among States advances the interests of lasting peace in the Middle East and around the world.

We seek tolerance and respect for every person in order to make this world a place where all can enjoy a life of dignity and hope, no matter their race, faith or ethnicity.

We support science, art, medicine, and commerce to inspire humankind, maximize human potential and bring nations closer together.

We seek to end radicalization and conflict to provide all children a better future.

We pursue a vision of peace, security, and prosperity in the Middle East and around the world.

In this spirit, we warmly welcome and are encouraged by the progress already made in establishing diplomatic relations between Israel and its neighbors in the region under the principles of the Abraham Accords. We are encouraged by the ongoing efforts to consolidate and expand such friendly based on shared interests and a shared commitment to a better future.“

Compare and contrast. While Trump was spearheading Peace in the Middle East ( and jump starting Big 10 football ), where was Joe Biden ?

On Monday, the former vice president was attacked by bugs while giving a speech about "environmental justice." On Tuesday, Biden attempted to woo Hispanic voters at a rally in Florida by playing the 2017 smash hit "Despacito" on his phone.

In recent weeks, Biden has also garnered attention by reading aloud the phrase "end of quote" during a teleprompter-assisted speech, and by spouting a bunch of gibberish about working "in the second-floor ladies department."

Unsurprisingly Trump isn't actually the war monger or Nazi that the left portrays. He doesn't want to involve the US in wars or spend money to protect other countries.

He's spurned opportunities to attack foreign countries after they've made attacks on countries friendly to the US. If Trump was such a racist Nazi then he wouldn't pass up justifiable opportunities to bomb and kill Muslims.

Personally, I don't like Trumps foreign policy with respect to military matters but I think his policy is proof that he's not the monster the left portrays.

Progressives were claiming Trump was gonna be some kinda dictator yet from where I stand I can't see what right any American citizen has lost under Trump - from where I stand Americans have never been richer nor freer since 2016 (China-virus not withstanding) - the only ones I see that wanna take away rights are the "critical race theory" loving progressives that wanna make being white and loving this country be an irreparable sin.

And even though Trump hasn't taken away any rights in 4 years, the progressives are still beating this drum.
