My favorite was the Shark Lounge in Daytona. It's now closed and was a total dive. But the stage was a giant plexiglass aquarium with a shark in in, and the satellite stage was shark cage. Anyone else have any favorites?
The Jungle in Amarillo (RIP). It was like the Rainforest Cafe of strip clubs. For current clubs, I'll go with the space theme of 2001 Odyssey in Tampa. I can tell people I had an out of this world lap dance in the space saucer perched on the top of the building.
On my bucket list is "Tango India" in San Jose, Costa Rica. They have a big airplane in the middle of the building that seats 40 people at one time and they do special shows in the airplane.
It's been a few years, but the Lodge in Dallas was divided up into rooms like a mansion right out of old movies. A parlor, library room, study etc. Much of the seating was upholstered living room furniture like leather hi-back chairs. Gowns were common.
The spaceship is ok, but my favorite feature of all time (now gone) was the two poles at the end of the bar at the Inner Room Cabaret with the gelatinous blobs in them that floated up.
My favorite happens to be Kandy's Adult Playground in Waterford, PA. If the show Dukes of Hazzard, had a Strip Club, Kandy's would be the club. This club goes all out on redneck corniness. There is a fake electric chair, which I assume is used for Bachelor Parties, Birthday's etc. A cop car, where you can get lap dances. A volleyball court, with complete with a cop car that crashed over the fence.
Off the top of my PL-head I can't think of a particular theme that made a particular impression on me - for me clubs that make an impression on me are clubs where I can feel comfortable and just relax and can spend multiple hours in and time flies by - e.g.
Tootsies Miami:
----------------
+ large club - fairly nicely appointed (has a Moulin Rouge theme that I did)
+ good amount of seating w/o having to pay (plus VIP seating areas) - most of the seating has good views of most of the club
+ plenty of parking most of it free
+ no cover on dayshift and 1/2-price-drinks on dayshift - nominal nightshift cover
+ very big center stage w/ a good amount of rail-side seating - on busy-nights there can be up to half-a-dozen dancers rail-side vs having to wait for one dancer to go to each guy rail-side
+ multiple-bars and good amount of waitresses - staff from managers to bouncers to waitresses are usually professional - not much thug-factor so one feels safe (although the sportsbar area can get a bit thuggish and security does not hang out there and are on the main-floor)
+ kitchen w/ a decent menu
+ separate sportsbar area w/ 8 pool tables and a plethora of TV including large 100"+ TVs where they play games w/ the game-sound
+ no tip-parade
+ good DJs - don't talk over the music nor try to be standup-comedians - music played at a good level to set a fun mood but one can still have a conversation - good music selection - songs are played at constant length of ~3.5 minutes which is not great but better than many other clubs that are playing them at ~3-minutes and of varying lengths with some songs at 2 or 2.5 minute length
Tootsies is my favorite club to hang b/c it's very comfortable w/o anyone giving you any grief from staff to dancers or other custies - in past years when I was a harder SCer sometimes I'd make it a day of it at Tootsies; i.e. I'd go on a Saturday or Sundday afternoon, catch a good college or NFL game in the sportsbar and order food (usually a steak); have some half-priced drinks, then SC for a couple of hours after the game - only downside to Tootsies was many of the girls were a bit cutthroat - many dancers were mainly just interested in VIP extras and didn't put much effort into giving good dances - I found the dance-mileage just alright vs good or very-good
Baby Dolls Dallas:

This is another club I enjoyed spending a few hours in - large club w/ a good amount of seating - plenty of stages to keep you entertained in b/w dances - large # of dancers on the floor to choose from and enjoy as eye-candy - plenty of free-parking and cheap cover - good mileage dances at decent prices - pretty large club
i.e. the type of clubs I enjoy are ones I can comfortably spend hours at w/o having to worry about finding parking, or finding seating; or getting nickel-and-dimed (e.g. constant tip parades, having to pay to get a decent seat, etc) - type of clubs I enjoy and can spend hours at are spacious and have a large # of dancers to choose from and look at.
I would second the Lodge in Dallas. It is supposed to give the impression of a high end hunting lounge. They also want to serve high end food and say things like the chef recommends... I probably won’t be looking for any chef opinions at a strip club, but I do know people that love the place.
The theme of whores masquerading as dancers is my favorite theme! Dancers who can’t dance - and who only ask if you want to fuck - make it believable. The VIP area is upstairs - which makes it seem like an old time whorehouse.

I also liked the theme at The Nile in Eugene OR

Wish there was a google image, but I liked the way their VIP rooms were furnished as well. Maybe not as cool as an aquarium stage, but still neat.
Is there any better club theme?
