Got on Instagram - it's a great world

Since you are still new you might not have noticed the mute feature. You can mute someones stories and/or posts without them knowing. Nice for people who post annoyingly but you know them IRL and don't want to unfollow. Or for hot girls where you want to see their posts but not stories.

Used it tons b4!!! Now just my personal one here n there. But it is great, just like Twitter and stuff. Depends what ya use it for??

My 22-yr-old SB for the past 15 months gets swimwear modeling gigs off Instagram. I go on occasionally to see her page and that's about it. It's otherwise boring.

I do like Twitter and follow about 10 people. All are either economists or journalists who I admire. Great way to index into the news.

There are so many hot women on IG it’s a bit overwhelming. Other than the ego boost they must get from having thousands of followers, it seems that some of these pages are like advertisements for other services (P4P). IG doesn’t allow blatant nudity or bare nipples, but tons of these IG girls push the envelope, very nicely I might add. Some IG models are apparently famous for nothing more than being on IG, sort of like the Kardashians. They must have some revenue from all this effort, and I bet a fair number are dancers, escorts, or both!

^^^ yeah, we've been through this in excruciating detail. Some IG models are just normal, pretty, girls looking for exposure and modeling gigs while going to school.

I enjoy Instagram. It's more straight forward as compared to Facebook and Twitter.

I’ve found a few dancer profiles on instagram. Can be fun to watch and sometimes snap chat.

Dancer profiles are a mixed bag. Sometimes they're great, and a good way to keep track of your CF's club schedule. Other dancer profiles are a mixed bad of awkward, depressing, and embarrassing.

I made an instagram account just for one dancer I really never dived into it too much. Lot of hot girls but I have seen a lot of those Instagram vs. reality photos, not sure a lot of those girls are all that hot.

I prefer living my own life in the real world, rather than live vicariuously throufgh others, seeking their approval, on-line.

You could also just read a book, which is one of life's most underrated pleasures.

I look at Instagram occasionally - there a couple of IG pages that have some nice built ebonies in them - but all I've done is just look at the pics from time to time and don't really follow anyone in particular nor tend to look at a page of just one girl (that variety thing).

Since all I did was look, I never bothered to sign up - but recently it seems IG now requires you to sign-up/have-an-account in order to view it - I haven't bothered since in the past I only looked at it occasionally.

Human beings are social animals designed to be with, and interact with, each other - thus I can see how Instagram and other social media fits in nicely as a niche and our innate need to be-with and communicate with others - one cold argue it's not much different than what we do on TUSCL (for those of us that are on here regularly).

I've been trying to understand why people use whatsapp, instead of just plain texting, and what the costs are, and if it should be with a burner phone.

Instagram, maybe you can send PM's to its people, but mostly seems for pictures. Never heard of this being used with people in Mexico.

But your point is well made.

So your Mexican girl still cannot make voice calls to the US. This is probably why she cannot directly send texts either.

I have a cousin currently living in Mexico City, and have family in Cuba - we use WhatsApp to text, send/receive pics, and have phone-calls - seems like a very-popular app outside of the US since all one needs is an internet/data connection

I don't think WhatsApp and Instagram are the same kind/type of app - WhatsApp is used more like a cell phone to communicate and make calls and send texts using an internet connection - w/ WhatsApp one can communicate internationally via an internet-connection w/o it being charged as a long-distance call.

i have whatsapp - you can text, photo, video, talk to one person or a whole group. But not used much in a social context - and long text messages overwhelm any trends to send nice photos or videos.

IG is like twitter. User posts and whoever follows that user sees the post show up. It's very social - young smart women use it (more than guys by 2 to 1) , some respond to comments and DMs (Direct Messages). A couple of cuties in my town have expressed meeting in person. I am happy with dancers for now - but find IG's light flow and fashion bias to be relaxing in a world with too much angst and anger.

IG has other benefits aside from checking out pictures and videos, you can comunícate with them too.

I started a few "IG" friendships with about 5-10 regular ladies (not IG models), one became one of my closet friends IRL, and two of them I have talking to for about two years.

More importantly, I hooked up with one.
