perhaps 80 peso? that’s roughly $4 us.
Yup $4.50 minimum rate for gringos now. Locals still pay $2.50 to zona.
I have little experience in US strip clubs, and none at all in the TJ scene, so y’all can discount this comment as you please, but it always seems to me that it’s well worth it to give a fellow human being an extra dollar or two as a sign of appreciation and goodwill (and, in the case of TJ, contributing to good foreign relations).
What if I live in Sandy and want to go TJ everyday? At that rate I'll overpay $600/mo. It's the only reason why I can't go everyday, the taxi costs.
The taxi sharks now jacked up the price to $7 in some instances. If you arrive at nite with luggage, they know you don't have much choice.
I just got back from there. I paid $5 flat to get to Hong Kong on Tuesdayafternoon, then $5 flat to get back to the border on Friday morning. Both rides seems pleased by the $5 I gave them.
The taxi rate has gone up, they posted the minimum rate of 800 pesos.
