Don't take him literally, but you had better take him seriously.

As the drill instructor at Ft. Benning would say, "Make sure your little Rangers are in MOPP 4". Chemsex parties have been blamed as a significant contributor to increasing HIV cases, and it is logical to conclude that they also fuel other STDs. What the article does not provide are statistics for demographics of who is being infected. Older people in active adult neighborhoods are increasingly responsible for these newly diagnosed cases (they have nothing to do all day but drink, gamble, and fuck). Just a reminder that we always need to be careful, especially around sex workers.

I got tested last month and paid for my SB's testing, too. All clean, including HSV-1 (which is carried by something like 50% of men) and HSV-2. Something else to worry about: standard panels do not test for Mycoplasma genitalium (MGen) which is getting more common and apparently some of the strains are resistant to antibiotics.

And also always be careful about listening to Fox News.

And you can't control STD spread just by stigmatizing sex workers.
