Many believe that these play a big role in keeping kids from getting into trouble with the law.
It is good that this is tied to the police, rather than say Parks and Recs, or the Schools?
Is there a down side to it, written criticism?

Learned how to box in one. Communities where criminals are revered seem to hate anything good, but at least they can blame everyone else on earth for the failures and never themselves. By the way ... anyone seen George Floyd?
I coached a group for many years met some amazing hard working kids that never had a break till some one got them involved, anyone that makes stupid derogatory remarks about this program is a jackass, let me say also I met some super good guy cops that tried so hard to turn kids around and succeeded more than they failed.
I agree with 25, and I started this thread asking a question about Police Athletics, not making a statement. My question arose from local politics.
