Yesterday night I was in TJ (again) visiting my CFBG, since she had the evening off we decided to go out of the Zona Norte for dinner and entertainment.
After dinner we walked up Revolución and found a bar where tranvestites would dress up as famous Latín singers and lypsync to the music, the audience would tip the performers, I found it very entertaining.
Within a few minutes it was easy to realize, we had stepped into a bar which catered mainly to Latín gays, while I initially felt out of place I really enjoyed myself.
Later on the night, they had a signing contest with members of the audience, a cute blonde girl sang with heart and talent but the audience gave a louder applause (and prize money) to a handsome young performer with limited range, enthusiasm, and talent.
The drinks were cheap ($6.50 for a bucket of 5 beers, $3.50 for tequila shots) and the waiters were friendly and pretty efficient.
When I started this mongering Journey I have been in some unusual places (Bliss Showgirls VIP corridor always comes first to mind) and Latino Bar ranks as of those.
Though I would not recommend it a must visit destination while in TJ, we had fun drinking, dancing, and signing a very good change of pace.

I'm not gonna say you are having fun wrong. But ............. Going to a TV bar and listening to them sing is not on my " to-do " list when I go to TJ.

you mean in COI or La Puente? So what is the VIP corridor?
The other place I think is Paradise Showgirls, reportedly thick Latina's administering the stripper hand shake and really meaning to deliver.
For myself, spending time or money listening to female impersonators would not be on my list either. But I have always been a kind of a hard ass.

Very strange set up/experience.
Going to Latino Bar was fun, my CFBG enjoyed it, sometimes I like to just do whatever.
I believe that one could get front room makeout sessions going there quite easily, and then take your girl to VIP.
This might not be the standard practice, but I believe it not too difficult to do. Need to know how to talk to the girl and to verbally come on to her.

Here in SJ we have some transvestite shows in our Mexican Bars. Generally that is not of interest to me.
But in such SJ Bars, there are often OTC women among the cocktail waitresses.

A TV bar is no Interest too me but my CFBG wanted to check it out and we had a good time.
She was a little tipsy, tipped a few performers, we dances to a few songs and then we returned to my room to conclude a very fun time.
She is one of the few BGs I really enjoy going out with rather than just hanging out at HK or the Hotel.
We have had some fun times at other bars and clubs.
I posted this review just to advise the TJ Mongering TUSCLites (and Sjg) of the other crazy nightlife available.
