My observation on SA is that 99% of girls fall into two categories. One is they are prostitutes, the other they want a huge monthly fee and want to live the high life just for hanging around with a guy and the odd shag or two each month.

Not their fault..many men allow this to happen. LOL.

I haven't noticed the age thing. But have had a couple of girls that showed up 10-15 lbs heavier than what I was expecting. And remember that the girl herself describes her own body type.

I haven't had any no shows yet. But some have turned into ghosts while starting the conversations. But I have done that to some girls myself. At some point, you become disinterested in someone. Or the timing is not right.

You can see on their profile page when they joined so you know if they are a newbie. And if it says plutonic on their profile, then I just go on to the next one.

Like Warrior, I haven't noticed the age thing much. But, just like on regular dating sites, women often show up heavier, and their pics are commonly a bunch of years old. Basically, expect to be a little disappointed in how they look versus their pics, and most of the time, you'll be okay. Once in a while she'll look better than her pics, once in a while she'll look much worse than her pics, but most of the time, she'll live up to your expectation that she looks just a little worse than her pics.

That's because the media is absolutely showering these girls with that message. IF you look at sugarbaby media aimed at women -- in women's magazines, on youtube channels aimed at women -- you will find interview after interview of SBs claiming to get $10k/month and jewels and cars and luxury travel, without having to have sex with their SD. From the perspective of a young woman who has done all her research on women's media, she really can't be blamed for thinking this is reality, because every interview presents that same picture. Obviously enough, for the most part, the $10k/month platonic baby DOES NOT EXIST. So these girls go on SA, get abused by the johns, manipulated by the icey/PUA types, sometimes become rinsers, eventually get fed up and leave.

Not that platonic arrangements don't exist -- they are rare, but many SBs who have been in the game a while have had one. They report that most SDs who agree to this, do it because they have erectile dysfunction; allowances are much much lower, and because there's no physical interaction, the SB's "sugar" is to basically shoulder the emotional baggage of being his therapist. I've heard an SB say, "after dealing with that for 6 months, I would have rather just fucked him than keep having to be sympathetic to his constant neediness". This, at least, is the picture that SBs paint of platonic arrangements.

Yeah, I avoid those girls who list themselves as "collage" girls looking for something "plutonic" and "discrete."

The one time I tried it, she was about 40 lbs over stated weight, needed me to pick her up at her apartment, jumped in the car and asked if we were getting a room or going to my place. I've been on SA for almost four years and look for long-term arrangements in a sort of serial monogamy (if that's possible for a married guy). Only about a dozen girls over that four-year period.

I've never yet slept with one of these girls on the first date -- and that's probably why I've never had an experience like @Gawker describes. If you want to weed out the Backpage crowd, simple insist on at least one unpaid, platonic, date. I consider it an investment (like buying a car) and shop around for someone I'm really into. There's a 95/5 rule in effect where 95% of guys are chasing the same 5% of the attractive girls. So, in that sense, it's nothing like the escort scene. Same probably applies to high-end strippers who pick-and-choose -- or who don't sleep with customers at all. And the proportion of strippers who don't sleep with customers at all is probably much higher than what you'd expect reading TUSCL.

There are all kinds of girls out there. I had a date with a 24-yr-old who's out here from Kentucky. During dinner she told me she dropped out of high-school because of opioid abuse, that her mother was a drug addict, that she was estranged from her father, and that she might have HPV cervical cancer. Pass. On the opposite end of the spectrum, my ATF was a gorgeous, slender, Asian from a top-ten school finishing her degree in economics. She has a job now in NYC doing AI consulting. Had another who grew up in San Francisco, was student-body pres. in high school, and who's now in law school. Current (almost 11-months now) is blonde 21-yr-old who models swimwear and underwear.

Bottom line: whether you like shopping in a strip club or going online, SA has blown the supply-and-demand curve in our favor. The next time a stripper asks for $1500 for a night of fun OTC, you can safely laugh in her face and find someone else.
