I tried using a credit card on my last visit just to see how it worked out. I had some issues.

They will not put the deposit on the cc. That still has to be cash.

They needed a form of ID with a signature on it. I usually only travel with my passport card in TJ, and leave my drivers license in the car on the US side of the border.
As a result, no cc use this time. I had the cash so no big deal, but if anyone is planning on using thier cc keep those things in mind.
