Neo-Liberalism, Supply Side, Liberterianism, these are all based on getting people to profess allegiance to untruth. This is how power is maintained. Yes, it is a kind of metaphysics. Real obvious is you look at the writings of someone like Ayn Rand.
So it occurs in the work place. But remember, a for profit corporation has the right to try and advance its own self serving doctrines. Where it is more problematic is in the political sphere, and in the operation of things like public schools, libraries, and hospitals, and then in the giving away of tax breaks.
