EXPERIMENT : WHATS YOUR PRICE VS PLENTY OF FISH

On the suggestion of a well-meaning friend, I'm trying POF and even with an upgraded membership, it sucks.

So many fake and inactive accounts.

My hit rate is about the same, 50 messages sent (since January 5th) and 5 replies.

I had two decent conversations and one get to know you date (no real interest or chemistry).

For a dating site which claims that it has the most members and activity, it is a real disappointment.

I never even heard of what’s your price. There are probably not a ton profiles on there.

@Cristobal, I'm not a fan of online dating sites. I prefer to just talk to girls at the store, club, wherever... There's too much competition online. I know girls' inboxes get flooded and its a waste. My girlfriend made a Tinder profile one night, we kept checking it to see how many guys she'd get. By midnight she had over 2000 guys to choose from and thats in an 8 hour period... its just pointless it seems. Unless a girl chooses you on a site. But yeah its a lot of work for a few replies.

@Muddy, there are tons in major cities...most women on there are just older and not very attractive. A lot of hookers and average girls looking for men to pay them, spoil them, etc...


But the point is the free site gets you more viable matches than hoeing sites.

I have seen world maps where how sexy the girls are is depicted in a shade of yellow. Among industrialized countries, the US is pretty crumby. Mexico is much better.

It depends on where you're at. But girls in southern California and Vegas are usually dressed pretty sexy. I think they're sloppier in northern California. Reno is trashy type of sexy...

I think the best places to meet girls are grocery stores or stores like Target. Its easy to strike up a conversation and odds are you've seen them there before, makes you look like less of a stranger since you're in the same neighborhood.

Night clubs are a hit and miss. Lots just want free drinks or are full of themselves depending on the club's clout factor. Same with bars.

Strip clubs are good if you know how to get the girls. Bars work better than night clubs I think.

I talked with two girls off what's your price...
