Has anyone stayed in any of the American hotel chains in Tijuana (Marriott, Fairfield, Hampton etc.). I'm visiting TJ and unfortunately need to stay connected with work. I'm not all that excited about bringing an employer owned laptop etc to Hotel Cascadas or somewhere similar in the Zona Norte. Assuming I find a wiling companion, can I get them past security in these hotels?
I normally stay in San Diego and commute but, with the time it takes on the trolley and the border lines, it's kind of a pain in the ass... Staying in TJ seems much more convenient. Looking for options.

I cannot offer any advice because i only stay in Cascada and rizo.
Does your work know that Cascadas is owned by Hong Kong? Even if they found out, just tell it was cheaper and had better amenities.
Hotel Ticuan is a nicer hotel that is chica friendly I’ve been told. It is not to far from Zona Norte.
