I believe that a truly ambitious person and one dedicated to.his/her goal(ex: for me it would be queen of debate in a legal/political context) must spend some, but not all, of his /her most leisurely moments (i.e taking bus ) doing something productive
-i am.listening to. Clips of speeches by both Reagan and kennedy on my home .
Why do I making note of this? Bc i love analyzing the faces of people after i tell.them this for 2 reasons:
-
ppl think.i identify with a particular party. Like fuck no, my own ideology grounded in very insightful reasoning is too great to be compromised for merely associating with a predominant party ..i hate both ruling parties with an equal passion
-
it is great to.be able to tell people you value a certain set of skills (oration, being able to.persuade the public) to such an extent that u can much to appreciate it being displayed two ends of the political spectrum . This shows values for not just a person , race , or name, but tangible skills and hence a PURPOSE

JFK made great speeches, like when he went to WV, the state with the least Catholics, and said that his religion does not matter. Total opposite of people like G. W. Bush.
And then at the convention when he called upon Truman to finally yield and give his support, and then that debate with RMN.
I had this video of JFK speeches. Really interesting. He was just an ordinary person, but he has become a legend.
We have a monument here in San Jose's St. James Park because of RFK's fateful 1968 visit, before going on to Los Angeles. And he was the one had who addressed a black audience and announced MLK's assassination. He went on then to pick up MLK's speaking style and more radical end of life message too.
Reagan pandered to idiocy, and it has gotten even worse in his wake. Like G. H. W. Bush said, "Voodoo Economics".
