Last night I was "that guy"

Such a strange, crazy trip at the club last night.

Started out with no door guy at the register upon my arrival. As I waited for him to show up, I notice a stack of business cards on the counter. Thinking they might be free passes or discount offers I take a closer look: Bank's Bail Bonds. Hmmm, I know the club has been sliding downhill, but really?

Finally get in and grab a seat. My CF is on stage tearing it up for a bachelor party. Kind of fun to watch from a distance. Then I notice the guy at the table next to me. He's the trivia king at my neighborhood Buffalo Wild Wings. His screen name is ALLBUG but I have no idea who he really is. We've probably only had a couple passing comments in the several years I've been a semi-regular there. The weird thing, he's always playing the video trivia games with 2 other guys and they'll each have two or three game controllers to be playing multiple games simultaneously. His name is all over the top of the leaderboards between trivia rounds....a real savant.

CF finishes on stage but is drafted into taking the bachelor back to the couches for a few dances. She sees me, nods on her way back and I know I'm on her radar. Trivia Dude (TD) keeps nervously looking back into the couch area like Barney Fife.

She finally finishes and comes right to my table. It had been a few months since we had connected. Part of the problem was that one of her fake boobs had popped and she was out of action for 6 weeks getting it fixed and recovering. She tells me the full story. I update her on my much less dramatic recent life. The whole time she's leaning in on me, rubbing those new titties on my arm...I've got a hand on her knee. And TD is going bonkers...up and down out of his seat. Pacing occasionally behind us. I'm getting the vibe that he really wants a dance from her. CF actually excuses herself to go to the dressing room for a bit. The woman who sells dancer wear had just rolled her rack of goods back there. 10-15 minutes CF comes back to my table and we both know it's time for dances. I see TD stressing out more as we head back. Did 5-6 dances plus ample chit chat while we were back there....when we head back to my table and CF gives me a hug & a kiss while TD is blatantly watching us. She heads back to dressing room to freshen up.

My mission was accomplished, but I decide to stick around to see how this all plays out for TD. When CF comes back out she strategically works the room to avoid hi's table. She wrangles up a few more dances from other customers and every time she's back on the couches, TD is up and down from his chair, continually looking into the couch room. It's getting creepy now. When she would come out, he'd jump from his table to try to cross paths with her but she would always deflect making contact.

I finally left knowing that on this night in this strip club with this dancer, my name was on the virtual leaderboard and TD was scrambling to catch up. (If you made it all this way, thanks for reading...this is the only crowd I know that could possibly appreciate this story.)

Cool story. Sounds like a very good night for you. Probably a highly confusing night for TD. It seems that TD lacks social skills, if he kept pacing and looking for that dancer. It’s good you stuck around to make sure TD didn’t do anything too weird.

That's awesome! He must be a known turd if she was making a point to avoid him too.

Sounds like a guy my ATF used to know; “Dave” displayed many of the same behaviors as TD did. Almost *all* of the girls would avoid him.

I was her “shield” one night. She and I were sitting in *our* booth when he came in. He sat at the bar and stared at her, barely looking anywhere else. So I took her to VIP for an hour. When we came out, the bartender told her that Dave really wanted to see her. So I bought another VIP. :)

He was gone when we came out.

@grand1511 Nice story. Feels good, doesn't it?

LMAO somewhere on TUBWWL (The Ultimate Buffalo Wild Wings List) discussion forum TD is posting about how he's always "that guy" over you on the trivia leaderboard. And feeling good about it.

It sucks not to be "that guy" but if you aren't aggressive and communicate ASAP with the stripper you want, then you will always lose to "that guy".

Postscript: "Dave" is really her boyfriend, and he gets kickbacks :)

Yeah, at first I thought it was either her BF or brother, but I'm guessing he is just a creep she had a bad experience with.

    Good story.

Sounds like an odd guy and perhaps broke since all he does is look around - if he had decent $$$ to spend there'd likely be strippers willing to entertain him and take his $$$ )unless he's just to odd to deal with).

In the past I've seen some guys at the club that seem to be there all the time but rarely spend any $$$ but still want attention from the girls - at best they'll tip a couple of singles on stage to get some attention from the dancers.

Funny story. I had a similar experience a few weeks ago. I was at the bar chatting and buying drinks for a dancer I had talked to before, a very voluptuous blonde. She's a bit thicker than I typically like, but wow, she's got curves that don't quit, pretty face, and a nice personality. Reminds me of MILF pornstar. I notice a quy standing a few feet away staring at her/us. I don't think much of it. She goes to the restroom, and he darts after her, tapping her on the arm, they exchange a few words. She goes to the restroom and comes back, and I ask her what that was about. She said she told him she was busy. I again notice him hanging out a few feet away staring. I go the restroom, and when I come back I see him in my seat talking to her. He sees me approaching and takes off. We chat for a while longer, again I can see the guy hanging around in the background staring. We make arrangements to go to VIP. I can't remember why, maybe I was still paying for a drink, but she took off before me to head to the VIP area and I ended up about 10 feet behind her as I was leaving the bar. He darts out of the background and chases after, and taps her on the arm again. Again, she told him she was busy. We go to VIP. When I came out, I didn't see him, and left shortly thereafter. That takes creepiness to a whole new level.

Stupid, he should have just talked to her when she was away from you. Its her job, not like she would reject his money

“Dave” was not her BF, at least in my case. Her actual BF at the time, won I’d already met at her place, didn’t come to the club.

I was kidding, gmd... I've seen enough of these stories to know they happen a good amount.

Damn, why'd he have to be creepy about it?

I've been 'that guy' before. That guy, meaning tried to get a dance with a perfect 10 on a busy Saturday night but overlooked due to the pecking order of regulars. It's no biggie once you understand how it works. I approached her after she had just come out of the private room and asked for dances. She told me she'd find me in a little while. Then I see her meet a guy who obviously been waiting for her and they go back. Then after she comes out I watch to see if she'll come to me. Instead, she goes straight to another guy and after a little chit chat they also head back. So obviously the girl is in high demand and these guys already made appointments.

Maybe this TD guy doesn't know how it works yet. He needed to approach her and see what's up. Like phatboy said, she's trying to make money so unless he's totally repulsive I doubt she'd refuse him.

The reason to go to a club is to have fun. It doesn’t seem like it was a very fun experience for TD but that’s his own fault. A lot of times folks create their own hell and then just stay there and won’t leave. It’s a strange but pretty common trait for the human species. Good story, Grand.
