If you don’t mix them the worst that happens if you get caught is fired and maybe a minor conviction. You get caught connecting the two and you could be looking at federal prison. While I'm more than a little skeptical that this isn't a manufactured persona, I will say that I've known LEOs and COs, and as a group, those guys are the most rowdy partiers and mongers.
