An iPhone needs an App for an alarm?

I'd start by checking your settings if you haven't already. Check sounds & Do Not Disturb. I've had some of my settings appear to have changed without me doing so. If that doesn't correct it, when you are in the clock icon, make sure you're in alarm mode, not timer or something else. Finally I'd go to an Apple Service board on the net and post the question.

Are you using the built in Clock app, or a third party one?

Yeah, the DND setting had bit me before so that was 1st thing I looked at. It is the built-in app that’s not working, not 3rd party. Set it last night as a test, and after it should have gone off, the blue clock window you see when you just check it in locked mode said “snoozing” with -22:00 minutes remaining. Weird. Shut it all the way off for an hour this am and will see if that fixes. Thanks gents. Especially Gooner; I knew someone would hit on that!

It’s called “built In obsolescence” and you need to buy a new phone. ;)
