  Spencer; Thank you for letting us know about your encounter. The only thing I would recommend not doing is sending a selfie holding your driver's license.   I'm missing something regarding the origin behind this post, but that's fine. I don't need to understand everything I see on the internet. That is the one massive down side concerning mid-range and higher-end providers -- the employment and background checks. I totally understand why they do it, but it still makes me squeamish.
