Strip club business around the Super Bowl

He/Him - He’s a filthy pig. That’s him in VIP with another whore.
This might be a stupid question, but I’m a bit unaware. Is there a big increase in strip club business in the area where the Super Bowl is held? Is the increase basically on Super Bowl Sunday - or is it the Super Bowl Weekend?

I’m guessing it’s large groups of guys who have money and want to watch the game? Or is it a mixed crowd - of men and women - who are in the area - and who want to party?

I’ve been to Super Bowl parties - at friend’s homes - but I’ve never gone to a strip club for the game.

Oh yeah. I know of strippers that go to the city that the game is held to capture the increase in business.

Yeah - there does seem to be an influx of strippers w.r.t major events like the Super Bowl or the NBA All Star Game - perhaps more noticeable in certain clubs than others.

I assume part of it is business and hoping to make good $$$ - but perhaps part of it is party-strippers that like the party lifestyle and wanna take part in all the festivities and related-partying while making some $$$ stripping while they are there.

Yes definitely. When the Superbowl was here in Arizona a few years ago, strip clubs were packed. Worked Uber myself and tons of people going to and from

I was a regular at an Indianapolis club before and after the stupid bowl there since I was living in town at the time. Several dancers and one cop told me that the city was told to clamp down hard on the local strip club and escort scene. I witnessed this personally, the clubs became more regulated and rule following to keep their liquor licenses. The cop told me at the same time they were told that the word came down from the 'national fuckhead lowlifes' promoters (nfl) to not bother the out of town service providers operating out of the local hotels until after the VIP's left town but not to worry the providers would take most of there "staff" with them after the game was over(I guess they went back to DC).
So count on things getting more expensive for less unless you are "important" (politician, league official, player, media pervert, etc)

Yes. strippers, escorts, any type of sex worker is available during the super bowl. Cost goes up too.

Costs go way up, crowds go way up, service goes way down. I stay far away from strip clubs in any city where a major sporting event is going on.

Yeah, and when we had the Super Bore back in the 80's and a few years back, cops clamped down on escorts. The party went on unabated at the clubs here in Detwaa. :)

I too put the clubs on hold when there is a major event happening. Columbia SC is really bad during the Masters in Augusta GA even though it is an hours drive away.

I knew that prostitutes flooded the town, but wasn't aware that strippers do too.

If you pay attention to the Vegas clubs they hype their establishment as the place to be for the big game--as if you are not there you are missing the event of the year but I also know a girl or two who went out to Vegas to work the event and while the place might be busy a % of the guys want to watch the game and don't pay as much attention to the dancers.

What I’m seeing here is a lot of increase in escort ads. And the strippers are expecting bigger crowds. Personally, I’m staying away until things get back to normal. Minneapolis is so anxious to bend over for the nfl that parking, public transportation and just about everything else is crazy. I’m surprised there hasn’t been an article in the Strib yet about how LE is “fighting human trafficking” by cracking down on independent, adult strippers and escorts.

Plus lots of new hotels have opened in the last year. Out of town football fans, mostly men, with hotel rooms and money, on vacation. One way or another there will be a lot of p4p in Minneapolis this week.

The general consensus about Brad's Brass Flamingo is that it hasn't been the same since the Super Bowl came to Indianapolis. That was when they made the largely-useless club addition and did away with $10 dances. Other factors played in, but the Super Bowl is what seemed to get pointed to the most.

A lot of stings, a lot of tough talk from law enforcement and a lot of inflated prices. Seems like you should just try to get into the Playboy party or just try to get laid the non-club way rather than risking it.

They should just rotate the game between Miami and Tampa.

They should play it in Tijuana

They should play it in North Korea. That fat kid would build them a stadium. :)

It sounds like some strippers attempt to take advantage of the (Super Bowl) tourists. Providing less services for inflated prices. I had thought that might be what happens.

Sports fans with cash and hotel rooms - a target rich environment for strippers and escorts.

It’s shitty that LE tries to crack down during those times. If they want to keep tourists from getting scammed, that’s good.

Talking to some of the dancers at Downtown Cabaret, probably the premier topless club in Minneapolis, last week, some are considering living at the club all week. It's just a few blocks from U.S. Bank Stadium and the dancers figure staying there is worth it not to have to fight traffic, pay inflated parking rates and deal with heightened security restrictions. One dancer said that the club, to its credit, is not taking in out-of-town dancers at the expense of its regular crew. That's nice, but I'm staying home all week and avoiding the hassles.

The last time the Super Bowl was in Detroit, the strip club business really picked up right across the border in Windsor, as evidenced in the article below.

http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.c…

Also, to state the obvious, it wasn't just the strip clubs in Windsor that got a lot of attention. There was also the fact that many tourists who came for the Super Bowl went to Windsor to meet escorts. The appeal mainly being because it was perfectly legal there.

A dancer told me years ago that she hated Super Bowl Sunday because of the idiots who'd go to a sports bar for the game, then hit the strip club on the way home. Her complaint is that were always drunk, on top being stoked on testosterone. She said it was worse with the guys whose team won than with the ones who backed the losing team. Those guys tended to be surly.

an owner told me that his club didn't get that much of an uptick in business when the superbowl was held in NJ a few years ago. i guess that's not the norm but he seemed kind of annoyed when he told me it wasn't as crowded as he thought it should have been.

Rattdog - if I remember correctly - the winter in NJ was brutal that year. I think there were concerns that the weather would be miserable for the game too. It turned out to be fine. But since it was winter and cold - and not in a domed stadium - I wonder if that decreased club attendance? Also, maybe guys went into NYC for the big name clubs?

The Satin Dolls club might have been a draw - as it was the Bada Bing club in the Sopranos show. But otherwise - there aren’t many well known clubs near MetLife Stadium.

A lot of players playing in the SuperBowl will hit up the strip clubs in town lol. Movie stars, TV Stars, athletes, musicians, all of them. There will be a lot of money thrown in the Minnesota strip cubs.

Why is the Super Bowl in Minnesota? I know Innesta has a famous mall, but I didn’t think Minnesota was a State with a lot going on.

I think the Vikings recently built a new stadium - seems every time a team builds a new stadium, it will get a Super Bowl I assume either as a reward for building a new stadium and/or to help the team recoup $$$ for their investment.

The Super Bowl is a payoff to Minneapolis for giving the NFL $500M to build a stadium. Every male taxpayer in the State should get at least one thank-you-BJ.

^^^^^^. Mark, I agree with the thank you BJ idea!!!

Yes, Minny took it in the ass from the NFL and the taxpayers built a palace in Minneapolis under threat of the Los Angeles Vikings. So the reward is fucking up parking, public transportation, hotels, local strip clubs and overpriced everything for a week. Today’s Strib had an article about $36 guacamole and chips.

It makes no sense to stage the Super Bowl in the coldest possible city during the coldest time of year. But the Minneapple has had an inferiority complex for decades and sucked the NFLs Dick enough to host this year.

I love about 5 miles from the TPC Scottsdale. Already the local restaurants are packed with hookers/wannabes looking for the Phoenix Open players/money guys.

I think many have been hanging out since Barrett-Jackson car auction. It's nice to have the scenery, but it gets crowded up here
