First Time Auditioning...HELP! What to expect?

Title is pretty self explanatory. I've paid a pretty penny for several private lessons and feel pretty confident about individual moves. An actual routine is harder for me to remember, although I just made it and have only worked on it maybe 15 minutes. I've never been a dancer and have never been to a gentlemens club. Do they have you audition in front of customers normally? I'm currently near Asheville, NC and auditioning at a few small clubs in Knoxville, TN, some near Atlanta as well as Myrtle Beach. I have homes/condos in both Myrtle Beach and Atlanta. It seems even the smaller clubs aren't thrilled about someone with limited experience...wouldn't they want someone they can mold into what their club needs? Any advice or experiences with clubs in these areas is appreciated 1000%! I'm nervous about dancing in front of a crowd before being hired/validated. And no, I don't need comments about my need to be validated. I spend a pretty penny on a therapist as well, lol! Thanks in advance!

    A) Show us your tits so we might evaluate the only talent that you have that means anything. B) Get in touch with Juice he has a van and travels around Ashville auditioning new talent.

You are doing it wrong - there's no such thing as needing to pay to take lessons to be a stripper - stripping is about sexuality not a "so you think you can dance" show. What you should have done is save your $$$ w/ those stupid "lessons" and visited several clubs to get a feel for how things work - wanting to work in a strip-club w/o ever having visited one is dumb as fuck - kinda like wanting to work in a restaurant w/o ever gone to one. Anyway - your 34DDs are intriguing - enhanced or natural? Post some pics to [view link] then put the link here so we can give you our professional assessment.

Good God, the last person you want to ask advice from is Juice, even though he’s in your neighborhood. Juice is too busy these days reading the Bible, playing Texas hold ‘em on line and studying the local Greyhound bus routes to and from Detroit and Atlanta. You may have run into Juice if you worked at or frequented the Asheville Applebee’s. He’s been banned from all the local Waffle houses though for trying to negotiate OTC in the parking lots.

Sigh... Ok, here we go again. Assuming that you're real, and assuming that you're a woman, and assuming that you really do want to be a stripper, and assuming that you aren't already a stripper who's just messing with us, and assuming that you're still even reading this... oh, fuck it already, just show us your tits, hun. We've been through this too many times here already. Why do you want to be a stripper when you've never even been to a strip club? And I assume you already have a good paying gig, otherwise how are you able to afford so many houses? Do you think being a stripper will pay more than whatever you're doing now?

^^ Never mind, you were previously an escort, right? That's why you posted the response to the thread about Backpage, am I right?

Will it pay more. I do nothing now but spend money. So yes, absolutely. I have an associates degree I can do nothing with since I'm a felon, and have lived of inheritance since 18. Hence the multiple homes BUT the Myrtle Beach condo pays for itself being rented in the summer months and the home outside Atlanta does the same. I mean I for a 2bed condo on the beach for 95k. Clearly Myrtle Beach is still recovering from the recession and the properties greatly exceed the demand. Anyway, I'll go try and post photos..not sure how it will work. As far as lessons. I need someone who has been there done that to say "Okay, you're doing this well, let's not do that, work on this, etc." And I don't know anyone who has ever danced so paying someone was the best was in my personal opinion. If it was inevitably a bad idea I supported a local business with a stellar owner.

Stripping is about getting naked and grinding on dudes via lap-dances - the customers are not judging a woman's dancing ability as if it was "Dancing With The Stars" - many a custy does not even pay attention to the stage - stripping is about a girl's ability to flirt w/ the customers on the floor and convince them to do dances; not much technicality to it.

So you mean you're not an escort? My mistake. Please take Papi_Chulo's advice and visit a strip club. Hang out there for a few hours. Try to find a male friend you trust who can come with you, because many clubs won't let single women in the door. It's crazy but it's true. Plus the dancers will definitely treat you differently as a woman alone than as a couple. You'll get to see them more in their "natural habitat" when a man is present. Hang out for a few hours at least, go during the day and again at night so you'll see how different the shifts are. Your lessons won't hurt, but remember this is less about dancing and more about turning men on. You'll see what I mean soon enough. I'm sorry about the harsh responses; we get a lot of people posting here pretending to be wannabe dancers. Usually they post one or two things, ignite a small argument or debate, and then quickly disappear. What kind of felony do you have, if you don't mind my asking?

Larceny. I was on drugs and the power of attorney on my accounts wouldn't give me money. Would pay every bill I had, that's it. To say the least, if I didn't have an attorney it would have been a lot worse. My co-defendants are serving 3-10 years depending on which one you ask about. I got 12months probation

"... I was on drugs ..." FYI drugs are rampant in many a strip-club - not to mention all the boozing - plenty of girls have gone-in squeaky-clean and come out all fucked up

Well, it's too bad you're living all the way down south because you sound like exactly my type LOL. I hope you take our advice. Stripping is very lucrative but you should go into it with your eyes wide open. Who currently has the power of attorney? Will you ever get full access to the money in your accounts?

And thanks for the pictures. You'll do fine. I guarantee it. Just take our advice.

I assumed as much. However the drugs I assume are more rampant, cocaine, meth, ecstasy, etc. Where not my drug of choice. I can't do uppers. I mean I can but then I want no one near me and I don't want to do anything. I was heroin and one day said fuck it, locked myself in my house and was sick as can be for about 2 weeks and didn't leave other than to see my doctor for IV fluids twice. Power of attorney is my Aunt, I have a limit I can spend now without pre-approval and will have full access when I have been clean 4 years. So not to long and quite frankly having a power of attorney likely saved my life! :)

Thanks for the pics - the glasses work on you. I personally like your look b/c I'm into curvy women - but many custies are into what they call spinners and many clubs, particularly the more upscale clubs, are into hiring the thin and petite only/mostly - i.e. being a stripper it's not just a matter of showing up at a club and be willing to take your clothes off. Again - I personally like the way you look and def like your big boobs - but if you slimmed down some you'd def give yourself a better chance at getting hired at the better clubs.

Okay. Slowly catching up with the comments. NO I was not an escort. Just have some old friends I was on drugs with still on social media and they bitched about. Lol. And I know I need to lose some weight, dancing alone will help with that and I'm trying to convince my doctor to change my thyroid medicine again. I'm also not looking to work anything big... especially not now. I need to get more comfortable with everything and learn the ropes, that would apply weather I was a size two or the size seven I am now. ;)

As far as flirting, I'm great at that. I'm in the alternative "swinger" lifestyle and can be naked around anyone and make anyone feel important. I'm worried about being on stage, not talking with clients. :)

Being nervous about being on-stage is def understandable - but like most-things, it's like riding a bicycle, becomes second-nature after doing-it a few times

You will usually have to perform on stage for your audition. A lot of clubs allow girls to pay off-stage fees in order to not have to dance on stage. New girls who want to avoid an audition can submit to a body check where you go into the brightly lit managers office with and strip naked while a few employees inspect you close up. Seems less degrading than dancing on stage, but you do have options.

Learn to twerk and dance. Swing around the pole bores me, but a woman that knows how to dance and look sexy doing is amazing. Example [view link]

Personally I think you have a really nice body and you don't need to lose any weight at all. Papi_Chulo and I both prefer thicker girls, and there's definitely a huge market for the curvy body type. Or every body type, really. Even in an upscale type of club, there still needs to be *some* variety. And besides, if you get turned down at a fancy-pants club, there are still plenty of other options. You won't necessarily be safer or make more money just because you dance at Penthouse or Rick's Cabaret or whatever other place wants to pretend it's not a titty bar/peep show in your area. You're lucky, I suppose, because you have a real reason to stay clean. I don't personally think that drugs are bad for everyone, but they are deadly for some people. So good for you, I guess. And don't worry about dancing. Once you've done it one time you'll wonder why you were ever nervous about it at all. The bulk of your job is going to be basically tricking men out of their money and turning them on sexually, not dancing. Go ahead, visit a few clubs with a male friend, and you'll see what I mean.

I think you might be the second "rich" girl i've heard of stripping (or future stripping in your case). The other girl doesn't strip anymore. Maybe she had a similar situation as yours. I don't think she really did it just for fun...

Your police record may prevent you from getting a permit to dance in the Atlanta area clubs with the exception of Club Wax a black bikini club where no permit is required.

Yeah. IDK how to reply to that. I'm fortunate but again try and be careful with spending because I know how hard my grandparents worked for me to not worry financially. I mean for me it's been fun, the classes. And they make me feel sexy. I like socializing, I like attention, seems like a good fit! Lol. I mean I'm sure some days it really is work and you meet shitty people but that's life. :)

Vity of Atlanta back ground check. Background check This background check verifies that there are no outstanding charges against that individual. According to the Atlanta Municipal Code, we cannot issue you a permit if you have had any prior convictions within the past three years in this country for crimes related to the unlawful dealing of narcotics, sexual-related offenses and crimes of moral turpitude. Moreover, we cannot issue you a permit if employment would violate the terms of your parole or probation. If you do not pass the background check, you will receive a receipt for the processing fee and we will return the fingerprinting money order and the permit fee money order.

@ChromesClassy Audition dances are going to be in front of customers and you will likely be announced as a new dancer to add to the pressure. It is good you have had dance lessons and have some prepared routines and moves. I hope some sort of booty pop or shake is in your repertoire. But absolutely go to the club you will audition at and also a few others as a customer first! Watch the dancers that draw a crowd on the stage. Watch and learn from the ones that get a lot of stage tips. But more importantly than actual moves, make sure your attitude is good and you are smiling and happy. Customers want to be seduced and made to feel like a king. Every guy at the stage should get a little of that from you as you are up there. Make eye contact with whomever you get in front of and give him a flirty smile and "fuck me" eyes. Don't look like you are just going through motions. Engage the customer. He should be thinking that you connect with him (or her). The name of the game is tease, tease, tease. And dance moves are only a part of this. The rest is your attitude and art of seduction. Also if you can have a few friends in the audience on your first audition it may help with your comfort level and confidence. If you are going to be alone, again at least visit as a customer once. As to what the club wants, the management may have a certain look or body type they are targeting rather than how you dance or wanting an inexperienced stripper that they can mold. But ultimately what they want is a stripper that is going to make money for them, and so with inexperienced strippers it is simply a risk and unknown. So yeah you are going to be at a disadvantage at any club until you prove your worth. But more importantly than all this, are you ready and willing to put up with mostly unattractive men with boners rubbing into your pussy and also trying to cop feels on you? On a regular basis? If you are not ready for this or just don't find men attractive, I suggest a different line of work.

I agree with Sirdancealot. If you can be flirty, sensuous and sexy on stage and take that skill set to the private dance area also, then you'll do just fine. Certainly, some experience with a "swinger" lifestyle suggests that you are comfortable with sex and with being sexy; that's half the battle for many women. Like others, I also recommend that you go to several strip clubs as a customer (ideally with a group or a male "date"). You might even read some of the reviews posted on here to get a customer's perspective about the nature of each club. If you visit a club, notice that some of the dancers are really good performers on the pole and on stage. Most of them have a relatively small number of "moves" that they string together and repeat that sequence in various stages of undress-- this is not sophisticated choreography. You can gradually work on your routine as you dance. The major issue for an audition is that you need to move rhythmically with the music and be comfortable with whatever level of nudity is required on stage. And, be flirty and sexy, of course. Also, spend a bit of time researching the club. Some of the clubs are dance only clubs, whereas other are "extras" clubs where sexual contact in the VIP is tolerated but not officially and openly promoted. This is one of those areas where the dancer can set her own limitations, as long as the club is tolerant. Given your history, be sure to be smart about whatever sexual contact you decide is acceptable; you don't need any more arrests on your record. Strip clubs are often subject ot law enforcement raids, often focuses on any drugs in the club but more rarely on prostitution. You might check with the other dancers and maybe with the more trustworthy customers about any risks or reports of law enforcement busts in your club or area. Of course, the better private dances you provide, the more repeat business and money you'll make. Think of it like breaking the speed limit on the interstate-- you need to be selective about when and where you push the limits and don't break more than one law at a time (e.g., don't be using drugs at the same time that you're pushing a different law, be in on the interstate or in the club). Have fun and report back. This is a national, and international, forum so you might even recruit a few customers from your area who happen to read TUSCL. If nothing else, if you can sift through the BS, political posts and personal joisting between some fo the members, you can glean some pretty interesting perspectives on the strip club industry and its customers. If taken the right way, this can certainly help you succeed in your new profession. Oh, one final thing, know when to hang it up. It sounds like you have a trust fund so don't squander that cushion. It will allow you to walk away when you get too old to dance or when the hassles of the job get too high for the payoff or when you discover something else (a social cause, a significant other, wanting a family) that takes you away from stripping. In the meantime, have fun! You're only young once.

I like your look with or without glasses. I'm no expert but I wouldn't think by these pictures that you had a drug problem. You need to get to a club and check it out to see how it all works. I think you will do fine but still not sure if you are doing this for fun or for the money considering you have a trust even though it is restricted for a few years. I'm old and slow so can you explain this alternative swinger lifestyle? And, I'm also a perv and too far away to watch you dance so please post more pix. :)

Come to South Florida. Doesn't seem there are any "requirements" to work here. Not even sure you need be alive based on some of the "talent" here. Seriously, pay attention to shawdowcat and Papi. Best advice I can give. Unfortunately, I have very few requirements for dancers I like, but they must have them. You wouldn't be among them, but that is not to say you would not be desired by many here.
