It’s been covered previously, but this article gives a bit more background. It must be difficult for strippers to be forced to deal with competition.
If these bartenders are exploiting social media to gain a following - then wouldn’t strippers be able to do that too?
That being said, I’m not going to piss away more money in a club. I don’t need a mixologist to open my beer. Of course - these clubs are more upscale than a club I’d be in!
I enjoy ufc - but a stripper and bartender throwing down over cash might be very entertaining.
I would personally "boycott" clubs that had this setup (stage surrounded by a bar) with fake ass (literally) bartenders often swiping money off the stage. But then again i rarely go to "urban" clubs, let alone make it rain, urban clubs. Money (tips) needs to be earned, and these "striptenders" aren't doing shit to earn it. I guess they're kind of like "feature" dancers that clubs heavily promote, but they're always there and they don't really do anything (in terms of actual stripping/dancing/show). Are there really enough fools that want to spend money on something like this for owners to want to keep this a thing?
