Cut 'n paste from my recent answer to another TUSCL'er: Many pharmacias in and around Zona Norte will be willing to sell 5 to 10 pills without a prescription. Almost all pharmacias in tourist areas in TJ will have a "doctor" next door or upstairs who for $40~100 will write you a script, though this might take upwards of an hour since they have to go through the motions of pretending to give you an exam. Alternatively, bathroom attendants and ANY mesero (waiter) in HK will be willing to fetch you Viagra (and possibly other illicit substances) but the markup will be huge. A fellow TUSCLer tried a single pill [of either Viagra or Cialis] and it was $20~40. You should be able to get 5 to 20 pills at a pharmacia for that price, but that's the gringo tax when you can't navigate the services by yourself without a translator. Know the medical and local variations of whatever you are looking for. I've never gotten Viagra (sildenafil is the medical and figral is the Mexican label), but I did get Ambien once. I called it Ambien and the doctor had to get on the computer to look up the Mexican name of Stilnox before being able to write me a script. There is a pharmacia just 1 block east of HK. Piri Pharmacy by the arch is well respected and only about 3 blocks away, they also sponsor the local small business counsel. I've also been to one in Plaza Saint Cecilia, but I don't recall the name. They're everywhere and not hard to find.

ANY adult can buy a lot more than 5-10 ED pills without a prescription. There are hundreds of pharmacies, so even if someone did encounter an employee who would not sell over 50-100 pills on any visit, he could just walk to the next pharmacy and buy another 100 from the next pharmacy, and the next, and the next. Al they collect from the customer is cash, not ID, name, nothing -- just cash.

Interesting. No matter what type of pill you buy, how do you get 100 pills back over the border?

Yup, shalin, that is my concern. I want to buy some Cialis, and some Tramidol for my fun little get away. I don't mind getting just enough for the trip though. I like Tramidol a little too much to get more than a fe pills anyway.

twentyfive - I take 50mg of Tramidol every 6 hours for back pain. I's fairly cheap but not working too good for me.

I've never bought that many, and I wasn't suggesting anyone do it. I was responding to the mention of buying 5-10 pills, because many guys would respond with " I can only bring 10 pills back wth me? " The pills come in plastic bottles or paper boxes. They are always individually wrapped, or 4 in a packet. I take those and put them in my back pockets. Minimal bulge, especially when I put them in 2 back pockets. To keep them together I put them in the plastic bag, then in my pockets. I've never been questioned in 10 years.

twentyfive... I believe you are thinking of Midol. Tramadol is like cheap synthetic Vicodin. Makes you feel GREAT for about 3-6 hours, but if you use it for more than a couple days, it get addictive... FAST! So a couple pills for my trip is probably best. If I had a 100 of them I would likely get hooked... again.... = /

Yes I got that after Shadows post I looked it up in the PDR I thought it was like the script version of midol i take Neurotnin for cervical disc damage and it doesn't always help so I am always looking at different stuff. The worst pain is never gone it just takes the edge off.

My thoughts were if a guy needed cialis, say he'd go to TJ and buy a years supply for himself at a huge discount. How would be get it back across customs? Mail it back to himself?

shailynn - All of my orders from India had to have a customs declaration form on them. all packages going through U.S. mail must have the senders name and address as well as who it is going to. These could be potential problems.
