OT: Another semi goes off the I-75 bridge in Southwest Detwaa.

Damn, it's getting pretty rough on that bridge. It's under reconstruction. It's old as highways go, big chunks of the roadway kept falling out leaving 10-20 foot holes. One side is closed for rework. The other side is pretty nasty. This is the second semi that has gone through the guard rails in the last few weeks falling 35 feet to the ground below. It's been raining all day, so it's a slick road and speed may have been a factor. It's a long upgrade to the middle and people speed up. Wonder what the driver was doing before he lost control, hitting 2 cars before plunging off the bridge. Jacking off in the rig ??

Truck drivers are in high demand. CDL holders are needed by many companies. There is a acute shortage of drivers. It's possible that many new drivers lack the needed experience in some situations. Driving those trucks isn't easy. It's a difficult job that requires a lot of skill and long, tedious hours.
