Take a 12 inch medium pizza for example. The menu probably says it serves 3-4 people. But I've always downed a 12" pizza. I'm satisfied but now overly fill. Depends on how thick the crust is.
Mo head I agree with you... I can down some food but when I find what the portion is for one person I usually feel like its a joke...do normal ppl eat that little ? I feel like I would starve ?
Back when I really played football and was a powerlifter I would honestly (I know cuz I tracked myself for a few months one time) would down 10,000 calories every day
I've tried a 2,000 calorie diet I can't believe how hungry I stay...starving really.
I've been studying the super massive body builders the last few months and have noticed they do one to two hours of light cardio five days a week on top of their weight training just to keep the belly fat off.
I eat about 5,000 calories now and am trying to slowly lower it over time so maybe my body can adjust to a lower caloric intake
In the mean time I have added 30 min of light cardio into my life three days a week with the idea to work up to five days at two hours worth
I've also been doing light weight high reps full body weightlifting two to three days..
AFAIK one is supposed to eat about 5 small meals throughout the day - I don't have good eating habits - I usually don't eat breakfast b/c I'm just not hungry early in the morning and I only like eating when I feel at least a little bit-hungry- I'll usually have lunch near noon & then have dinner around 8 pm - depending how big a dinner I had that may be all I eat all-day since I don't snack - if my ~8 pm dinner is not real big I may have something light around 11:30 pm or midnight (a TV dinner or a small sandwich)
Mikeya true...I'm one of them....ketchup, slices of ham smothered with Mack n cheese with ketchup...oooo fuck yeah that's delicious
Or the local BBQ place fixes me the juice special witch is a bowl of Mack n cheese with beef brisket all in it...get some of their house made sauce...god damn dick gets hard talking about it
IDK - I think it's best to focus on eating quality nutrient rich foods vs focusing on calories - cutting down on intake of food may mean one is not getting enough needed nutrition
I've been fat my whole life. Sometimes I feel like I eat a lot, but not always. Sometimes I wondered if my Dad was my real biological father. Lol. When he joined the Navy in WWII, he weighed less than 100 pounds. He had to get to 105 by the end of basic training and he made it. But he never weighed more than 120. Yet, he often ate more than I did. Even up until the time he died on his 80's
I agree Mikey. Pasta in all shapes is my favorite food. That is one food I know I grossly overeat. I can eat a big plate of spaghetti and go back for more. I hate to think how many "servings" the dieticians would say it is.
Papi I agree that cleaner and home made foods are a much better option.
Sea I like your style..my proiten is always high but I have been trying to lower my carbs
Mo head...my dad was only 150 during his ten her service in Vietnam. Before he got sick his heaviest was 225 and he ate all the fuckin time...when he passed he was about 130 lbs
My mother was no larger than 100 pounds but she drank and smoke like a veteran lol
Me much like you mo head have struggled with being heavy my whole life as well.
I was 135 in 3rd grade lol....seventh grade in middle school football I was the biggest lineman at 225 pounds lol
Italian food is def my fave but I don't eat it that often these days in part b/c I don't have any decent Italian places near me in Cuban dominated Miami (often have to settle for Olive Garden & I didn't even have one of those nearby till about 5 years ago) - and I often feel like going into a deep sleep after eating a large Italian meal thus why I don't like to eat it too often - and it's not rare for me to eat an entire Papa Johns large pizza in one seating even though I'm not a huge guy (5'10 195 lbs)
Yeah mo head I was a lot larger than that...I finished high school at 280 as a lineman then went on to play division 2 football around 330 after football was over I hit 400 pounds as a competitive lifter in the bench, squat and dead.
I'm currently at 325 and am trying to hit 300 before the end of 2016 maybe by 2017 ends I can weigh 250-275....it's been a struggle to keep weight off...I gain easy and we'll if my depression kicks in I really struggle since I eat for comfort unfortunately
its not really how many calories as much as what type of calories and what the food is. Lean protein is fine, most vegetables and fruits, and limit fats and nuts cut out any simple sugar and carbs. If I eat carbs like pizza or potatoes i find it takes about two weeks off of them and I don't get the carb cravings anymore. Alcohol is the killer but there is nothing better than some bourbon, scotch, or good beer and watching football in the fall.
Good job on losing weight Juice. I outweigh you now. If one isn't careful, adding 10 pounds a year can happen. It did to me. I am well over 300 now.
I had dreams of playing college football. Not to brag, but I was fast for my size. I could out run my running backs so I was a helluva pulling guard. But I stopped growing early. Colleges want lineman that are 6'5" I wasn't close
Tell me about it...might also want to cut down on dressing...I gained weight on a salad diet just because I was pooping a small bottle of dressing you know the $1 size ones...that dressing packs in some calories
Juice if you eat healthy and do some cardio you can lose 25 pounds by the end of September easy.
I been adding some HIIT on the stationary bike and its burning fat like crazy and take less time and much more satisfying than walking uphill on a treadmill for 45 minutes. I've been doing this for two weeks, in the last 10 days did a body composition before and after to see the difference and lost 4.5 pounds of fat and gained a pound of muscle.
Protein shake and protein bar (Pure Protein brand available at walmart or target) for breakfast and 10 boiled egg whites with a little cajun seasoning before lunch and you're already at 100 grams of protein. I go through one of those 5 dozen boxes of eggs a week. Drink water or if not something low sugar. I practically live off Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry-Mango juice. Publix puts it on BOGO at least once a month and I'll buy anywhere from 20-50 bottles every time they do. 64oz bottle for $1.40 and the entire bottle is just 40 calories and 5 grams of sugar. My second fave is the Cran-Lemonade
Good point on the water. Water is huge, i drink at least a gallon during work, does suck to piss 6 or 7 times during the day. At home i drink water and use that MIO water mix.
I'm 5'10 195 but overweight for my frame - I'm small-boned and only wear a size 8.5 shoe & got small hands - my frame is more like that of a 170 lbs guy.
I was spaghetti skinny growing up & was 5'10 125 lbs prior to my Senior year in H.S. (although I ate like a horse) - part of the reason was an undiagnosed hyperactive thyroid gland - once I took meds for my thyroid I went up to a more respectable 155 to 160 lbs in just a couple of months
Another alternative is the walmart brand Vitamin Enhanced Grape drink mix. it's one of the cheapest they sell by weight, no sugar, tastes good and it's the only grape that is clear so it doesn't turn your bottle purple. Make sure it says vitamin enhanced on the box.
My huge downfalls are sushi and my hard root beer which has 39 grams of sugar per bottle. Just remember it's all about moderation.
I drink lots of water and tea..just stopped soda...trying to kick the tea and go straight water...I drink probably two gallons a day..and yes I piss a lot..
I have not bought any soda in about a month. I only having been drinking ice tea without sugar. My guilty pleasure is lemonade. Though once it cools down, I think I can cut that out.
For sweet tea; if you brew it yourself use splenda and add a bag or two of the celestial seasonings cinnamon or plantation mint. It tastes amazing. If you buy your tea at the store and are lucky enough to have Milo's sweet tea buy the kind with splenda in it.
And no......I don't want to start an argument of how some people say splenda is bad for you. We just don't know. Maybe 20 years from now we'll have an answer but EVERYTHING has the potential to be bad for us. All we can do is try our best.
juice, i shoot for 200 grams of protein a day and I usually hit 100 grams just for breakfast. I'm 6' 200lbs and according to every chart I'm obese which is a crock of shit. According to these decades old charts I should be 165lbs (which would qualify me for a free wife beater and barely there mustache). My goal is to ADD another 20lbs of muscle to my upper body so according to the chart I could probably qualify for a handicap placard and a scooter.
2 hours of cardio 5 days a week is insane. if you just want to lose weight you need to shoot for at least 30 minutes of cardio (elliptical or stair climber preferably) 3 to 4 days a week. If you don't have access to those or no gym membership yet then simply walk every day. If you lose too much too fast the elasticity in your skin won't be able to keep up and you'll end up with folds of skin you'll never get rid of without surgery.
Isn't green-tea supposed to be rich in antioxidants & good for you or are you guys talking about a different type of tea altogether (I'm not a tea drinker so IDK)
Papi yes green tea and every other kind of hot tea
Good tips on the tea recipes...I make my own already but those adjustments will work well...thanks bro.....quick note ? Doesn't splenda in large amounts have a laxative affect ?
2 hours of intense cardio is insane....no 1-2 hours of low cardio...I burn more calories walking than the average man because all the extra weight...being large I can't move fast enough to make 30 min effective so I need to go to a program of about 1 at min to 2 atmax hours of cardio 4-5 days to lean out and kick this belly off....I'm also trying to maintain all the thick muscle I've developed over 20+ years of weightlifting. I've been watching some Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman vlogs on YouTube and seeing how they stay so big but so lean.
I've been a drug free lifter so I understand if I lean out I can't stay 300plus without the drugs...so I'm OK with looking good at 250 or 225 like a heavy drug free lifter would look like
My biggest temptation will be if I lean out after doing the cardio and the high reps and I'm looking good at a heavy weight like 280... I love being big.. I'm dropping weight for old age and trying to prevent issues and early death lol.....it will be a huge temptation to try to be 330 and lean...or 360 and lean...not lean like a bodybuilder but lean like the healthy looking strongmen on TV basically...most those guys without bellies are 6"6' and 400+ pounds...my height is an issue so 300+ probably
But I don't need the knee and hip issues I'm trying to avoid...it's why I'm not powerlifting and I don't need the heavy body weight....
It will be a huge temptation I will not lie...I need to avoid it doh....I need to sheed another 100 pounds off seriously
Long term it would be wiser to be a solid 200 5"8' dude
Mikeya I agree...I was a phenom but my issues with height stopped me from being a professional lineman....and my lack of hand eye coronation kept me from playing skilled positions..so all thoe I was 5'8" benched 400, squated 600, weighed 280 and ran a 4.7 I would have made one hell of a full back or power back
Of if I was at least 6'5" I would have went pro even of pro was on the bench lol
I actually believe their is a guy online with similar situation and has his lifting and football on YouTube...once I get home I will try and find this guy...if so it would give you some kind of a visual of a 300 ponder blazing at a 4.4 40 lol...OK now I'm full of shit lol
They did..I was a short yardage back and a goal line back... I was a defensive nose guard for my main job...on offensive I was this odd specialist player....I could only run a dive...nothing fancy either lol...just straight ahead head down Larry zonka style lol

I was lineman in high school too, but was only about 205 by the 10th grade.
I actually then went on a diet and graduated high school at 155. Unfortunately, I then gained about 15 pounds each year of college

It was true thow...I really could run 40 yard dash in 4.7-4.9 speed any given day back then
They tried me at fullback but they quickly figured out I was a much better tackle lol

Joe you crazy
Ime thanks for the helpful tip

Same issue with my dick lol...thick as fuck but average on length
So at 5"8' you can get the idea of how thick I is...shailynn has witnessed the glory of da juice
I have not bought any soda in about a month. I only having been drinking ice tea without sugar. My guilty pleasure is lemonade. Though once it cools down, I think I can cut that out.
These days I hit about 200 not even trying but 100 is efficient enough...
I'm no longer trying to build muscle just maintaining and cutting this fat off
I used to kill off 3-4 2 letter sodas Daily

I mostly eat small meals. Drink my coffee black or with a splash of milk. Try not to drink soda. Alcohol in moderation.
Really for me a big part is walking during the day at work and running 3 times a week.

So yeah...I need to stay focused on my future and longevity into old age with hopeful minimum health issues
Of if I was at least 6'5" I would have went pro even of pro was on the bench lol
(I plan to add a post there, so I pushed 'TTT' to the top, to remind me to do it.)
