I haven't been very jovial or inclined to make the "brilliant!" or "ace!" jokes lately. The news of the world have just seemed depressing as shit. Three more deaths of police in Baton Rouge. After the earlier BR death, Minnesota, Dallas, Nice, the coup in Turkey (which fortunately was resolved with less death that I expected) and now police in BR.

The world is fucked up.
Too many sick or evil people getting revenge nowadays.
I'd rather hear about new strip clubs opening up, bj's ok and brothels legalized across the nation. Instead we hear about death, murder , and mayhem.
Sad to say, it's not unexpected. I have little liking for the bad cops. I don't advocate killing them. I hope they catch the killers and fry their asses.
Apparently it's all going to be okay once Trump takes office, right?
We've had unrest in Atlanta. There are many with legitimate concerns that wish to have their voices heard...but there are many, who simply are using today's challenges to cause hate, death and anarchy.... Sad but those of us who believe in the overall, inherent goodness in mankind must single out those who would destroy us from within.

I possibly shouldn't have posted this given how Papi_Chulo's thread got off track. Here are just a few thoughts:
There is no excuse to attack and kill anybody, least of all police on the street. Even if you believe there are problems with law enforcement those are policy issues for the politicians and administrators in the police dept and individual police officers have little or no power to make systemic changes.
If you believe there is never issue with police just post your own thread. This thread is just for to say "this sucks and I hope the wounded officers make it through this incident and return to their family." Discussions of statistics can wait.
Current (unconfirmed) news is that it is three dead and seven wounded.
