My guess is today to be a pimp you probably have to smoke a lot of weed, maybe dable in some harder drugs, play a lot of video games, be unemployed, and live in your moms basement.

Don't pimps control and exploit women through manipulation, threats, and violence? Pimps also confiscate the woman's earnings in exchange for dubious (or non-existent) benefit to the prostitute? That's just plain wrong on so many levels. No woman deserves that.
Unless you are talking about a non-violent pimp. But even then, what's the value to the woman? Is he arranging more business than she would otherwise get on her own? In that case, a lot of SC employees in extras friendly places would be pimps.

When I used to have a pager I would occasionally get asked if I was a drug dealer (I so do NOT look like a dealer!). And of course I would answer that yes, I certainly WAS a drug dealer and I would ask them what they needed. Some actually told me, to which I would excuse myself to "go set it up" and then go sit somewhere else in the club.

But I also have been close to people who ran RedBook AAMPs. With the Asian girls there were never any issues like this. The Boss, as he or she would be called, mostly just had to rent the apartment.
Some were amateurish. Driving the girls around all the time, renting basic apartments, and even being there with the girls as they cooked his dinner.
He would have one of them designated as his "wife". The others were hands off.
Others were highly professionalized, letting other people give their names and credit ratings, for a fee, to rent extreme luxury apartments which had very limited sight lines to the front doors, and otherwise minimizing contact with the girls and staying away from the house.
Asian born men would come here after being involved in AMPing in Asia. But here AAMPs are safer and higher "service level".
The women Bosses are of course aging working girls themselves.
The Americans ( White or Asian ) who get more than casually involved in this are men who have hard lives, often just divorced. To get in the basic entry requirement is just to fuck one of the girls. Then if you open the door, she will be asking you to drive her around, offering to introduce you to the boss, etc. The girls always keep one pseudo boyfriend whom they generally take horrible advantage of. They need one guy to be their eyes and ears and to offset and misinformation the boss might give them.
And these girls are not "trafficked", if by that you mean victims of force, fraud, or coercion.
For AMPs most of the girls live in the US. But for AAMPs they are here on 3 month or 6 month visas. The Boss gets them by the girls who have just finished their stints, going back and talking to people.
Often they will send their friends over. Of course they get money for this. Then sometimes they come back for an additional stint or two themselves. I've heard of girls showing her friends her bank account book, with the regular deposits. This always works. Record of money and someone they know vouching for the conditions.
Many of the girls who come over have reached retirement age for their country. But not all, some are young hotties.
Say like in Singapore, the Massage Ladies are getting chased out by young girls from mainland china. SO they come here.
But say in Korea, Prostitution has become a first career for those who select it. They reach retirement age at about 28. And most of them are above average looking. So they come here, and they are in high demand. But the Korean's have to learn if they are to do good GFE.
Taiwan girls easily take to GFE. Some are really off the charts.
But now without SF Redbook and its active community of explicit and reliable reviewers, I don't know what will happen.
In my opinion AMPs are best because you can face to face window shop and flirt with them. And then if ITC is not relaxed enough and not GFE enough, then just see them outside. It all gets really really good outside.
It is a strange world to be in though, around working girls as they are working, seeing it from behind the scenes. I would not like to be a pimp. I would not want to have that sort of relationship with the women.
And about 75% of the AAMP customers here in Silicon Valley I would classify as extreme jerks.
Most US living girls will not want anything like a pimp. They know the language and the culture. They can run it their way and be happy. But with girls who know very little about our culture and language, they need the boss.
But at the first instance of crossed wires, the girls run off to other shops. They always have customer phone numbers and all and they quickly ingratiate themselves with guys and learn all about the other shops.
So of the working girls, in my opinion, take serious advantage of guys they befriend.
So much of it really is just about money. It is not that their country is harder to live in that it is here, but they think it is. In their country the only thing more disgraceful than being a prostitute is to be poor. Mostly it is about social identity, and this takes money. It is never money to live, it is money to keep up with expectations. So it is just like it is here.
For example, one girl is here, paying off debts by doing MSOG sessions with guys all day long. Boyfriend calls from her country, says what she wants to here. So she plans her return. But then 6 months later, another visa and back here.
Money and Relationships are a losing situation. This is why I am building my own organization which will resolve this.

When my sister and I lived in the 6 mile and Woodward area (Detroit), we lived in the same apartment building but on different floors. We always talked about renting another unit in the building for the sole purpose of finding good looking extras girls and having them use the apartment to escort, and we'd let them keep 50% unlike pimps who take everything. Most of the time what the pimp gets is a sensible portion, given what he contributes to the operation.
