Well, for starters, don't write a review that gets you incriminated as a hobbyist in a prostitution sting.

Writing the court, Senior Deputy Prosecutor Val Richey said Dehennis (911 Dispatcher), a 48-year-old Edmonds man, wrote long, graphic reviews of his experiences with prostitutes in the Seattle area.

The detective posted fake reviews, asked other members for tips and got himself invited to “meet and greet” parties where men were introduced to sex workers, according to court papers. The detective first attended a party in January 2008, at a South Lake Union bistro that has since closed, and went to several more in the years since

As investigators describe them, those involved in the ad hoc brothels were indeed victims.

Most of the women working for the seven “agencies” targeted by investigators were taken from the airport directly to the apartment where they were expected to work, a Bellevue Police Department detective said in charging papers. The agencies provided the women with everything from condoms to customers, who found the women through The Review Board and other sites.

“The women are advertised as available 12 to 14 hours a day, seven days a week,” the detective told the court. “The prostituted people are typically foreign nationals who are trafficked from major city to major city so that there are always new workers and new ‘experiences’ for the agencies to advertise in order to meet the ever-growing online demand for commercial sex.”

Richey, the lead prosecutor in the investigation, described Zitars and the other men as holding an “obsession with sexual exploitation.” That fixation has fostered a market for prostitution, he continued, and helped to encourage the growth of brothels staffed by South Korean women who have been coerced into prostitution.

“These brothels serve as part of a national pipeline that transports exploited women around the country for use in prostitution,” the prosecutor told the court.

Dehennis helped in that network of exploitation, Richey continued, while working in law enforcement.

Very careless. Sounds like everyone got pretty confident about this sort of thing.

Legalize it, license it, and the trafficking will disappear at least until the federal government gets involved.
To them we are all just whores who work to give them money or they will kill us so they can sit on a beach or golf course..

If writing long, graphic reviews of one's
sexual experiences with prostitutes can get you in trouble then I'm screwed.

I think there's an unwritten rule that lawyers don't sue other lawyers. Maybe it's samurai code thing or maybe it's a thieves guild** thing. So you're probably okay.

**I don't think lawyers are actually thieves.

John, it's cool. "Everything written on this site should be considered a work of fiction."

JS writes good fiction. When he got called a disgusting pig, it seemed almost believable.

Now this lion guy character, total nonsense.

Shark, you need to meet up with me in a club sometime so you can see pictures of me with my dancers. The stories are all true.

I wonder how much of that story is true. Several years ago Portland was labeled as a hub for child sex trafficking. It turned out that many of the "facts" used to support that label were made up and most of the rest was "creative" use of statistics. The Portland story was debunked by our local newspaper, but not before it made national news.

He is the thing..... Writing the review or the review wasn't used against anyone. It was the meeting up of the people or the "reviewers" at said locations that got the arrests and what not.

So the review was the "spring board" to the events.

Like if a club, massage parlor, etc. gets lots of reviews explicitly saying what is going on. The LE reads those reviews then will go investigate.

You see it more with massage parlors that strip clubs.

It is an election year so be careful. This is when LE and the Political officers like to do stings to show they are doing something. Be safe.
