CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A 23-year-old woman was shot outside a Cleveland strip club by an unknown gunman who ran from the scene, police said.
The shooting happened about 2:45 a.m. Friday outside King of Diamond in the 4100 block of Lee Road, Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said.
The woman, who works at the club, was treated at University Hospitals Case Medical Center.
Police arrived at the club and saw a security guard carrying a crying woman, Ciaccia said. The guard told police the woman was shot in the hip.
The guard said an argument broke out in the parking lot after he escorted a customer out of the club, police said. The woman walked outside at the same time.
The guard heard gunfire coming from Lotus Drive. He saw the shooter run toward Holly Hill Drive, where he got into a silver Volkswagon that sped off.
An investigation is ongoing.

last commentI drive a 1/2 mile south of there every day in my work commute. I've never been in the club there I heard it was a dive. Neighborhood is rough but not horrible. Not great either.

It appears to be an urban club by the photos on Instagram

For another urban club near by (sort of) the one in the story, try Secrets Gentleman's club on Brookpark Rd. Cleveland, Ohio. CF used to dance there. It's blue collar during day shift and turns to urban / black for night shift.
