Trend for the Worse at the Hamilton Clubs in Detroit?

CTQWERTY
My last time visiting the Hamilton Clubs (Bogart's and Henry's North) the drink hustle had been ramped up, as they now come to ask whether you'd "like to buy the lady a drink?" anytime a dancer sits with you. They were also more aggressive about one buying additional drinks. A couple of reviewers have noted the change in recent reviews (one from Bogart's cut and pasted below). This at the same time upscale Hustler Club has cut their valet charge to $3, eliminated cover during the days, and offers $3 beers. I hope the masses head to Hustler Club and force a change at the Hamilton clubs!<p>

I was in Detroit on Business & the Inkster strip was just down the street so I decided to check it out. Started & ended with Bogarts. Cover was $5 & they give you a ticket you have to give your waitress. Not sure what that's about. Drinks are high, mine was $9.25 & the dancer's was $9.50. Dancers are required to sell a drink quota for their shift, so you'll be hustled hard. The waitresses also constantly harass you for another drink & if you want to buy a drink for the lady. And I mean CONSTANTLY! It was really, really annoying! There is a bar in the back, and 3 stages in the front. I saw a cute brunette & tipped her, got a show & a feel for my buck. Off to a good start! She joined me at my table & was very friendly. Eventually I tried a VIP. $10 charge for a VIP wrist band that is good all night. Dances were $20 & very high mileage, but she really wanted to sell me "extras." After a bit of time here, it was clear that was on the agenda for many of the dancers. That's not my thing & I had work to do so I rolled on out of there without spending a fortune. But a good time could clearly be had if you wanted to spend."<p>

I will defitally be back I was treated very well by the girls..always smiling and ready to show a great time it seemed even though I walked in and had my doubts it was definitally turned around as soon as I got my first vip dance. One thing I wasn't too happy with was the waitresses and the drink costs that was kinda nuts but it was wortg it anyways! I got a dance from a brunette that was awesome..normally when I go to a club I like to watch and have a few drinks before I get dances but it seemed so comfortable I just got right to it lol it seemed that vip dance lasted forever"<p>

Went to H's to check it out 4 myself. Girls were 4's to 8's. Two remarkable gals were Mallory and Mocha, a young big breasted white looker and a Carmel complected voluptuous black girl respectively. Both were great in the VIP rm and very willing to please. Prices were very reasonable considering their level of service. Mgmt seemed cool; there to oversee things but not disruptive. They would briefly peer in the curtain but did not interrupt even the most intimate or obvious carnal activities. The VIP setup could be better, it's a little cramped but gets the job done. But if you're the type that requires absolute privacy or can't get it up or out with other guys around it could b a problem.<p>

Two notes of caution. One is a buxom Latino dancer who promises BBBJ but delivers a hand job within a couple inch proximity of her mouth. In retrospect she was pushy, drunk and offensive. Can't recall her name but almost always has a beer in her hands and brags.about being there 10 years and that everyone loves her. STAY AWAY! The other caution is the wait staff is very aggressive about keeping an overpriced drink in your hand. For some that may b a plus but personally I prefer to spend my money on naked girls writhing all over my Johnson.<p>

Besides the beautiful Carmel skinned voluptuous "Mocha" and the young redheaded D-cup hottie "Mallory" there were a few other young girls worthy of attention who all offered great prices but I can't comment on performance as I did not partake.<p>

A club like this also has a few girls who probably need to retire but can't such as the large breasted obnoxious Latino look girl above."<p>

the drink hustle is also bad at henry viii south. At least they only charge $9.50 for a dancer drink...I know some clubs around here charging $20+ for drinks.

Sam, I can see the top-end clubs getting away with it because of the better talent. But the dive-type clubs have a lot of gals who've done some hard living, and I don't think most guys would want to pay to hear their daily gripes, etc.

I really hope Hustler changes the Detroit model permanently.

I am surprised to hear this. H8S was my first GOOD experience with a Detroit area club - about as laid back a place as one could imagine. After my VIP romp with one of the H8S MILFs, SHE bought ME a drink at the bar! I hooked up with that lady on a subsequent visit to Detroit and had a four day tour throughout southern Michigan and coastal Indiana with her - one evening in a quirky brew pub in Michigan City, Ind. was particularly memorable. Sadly, her phone number no longer works.

I'm in Bogarts more than once per month. I have not personally experienced ANY change in the pushing of Drinks. No change in price either.

CT-
Girls at both H8 and Bogart's tell me they are now required to sell 5 drinks per shift. One of them only drinks coffee yet it is still $6.75.

Henry's North was where I received the most drink harassment. A waitress even asked for $1 for nothing, and a bartender inferred I should buy another each time she passed. This despite having one in front of me.

IMO Bogart's has picked up the peddling as well. Besides what I saw on the floor, a dancer told me they had just started with the 5 dancer drinks per shift requirement (early October), and that the dancers viewed it as an excuse for the bar to use to fire girls since guys don't come in to buy them drinks.

That said, the reviews I posted above are atypical historically speaking for the Hamilton Clubs. Time will tell when more folks chime in.

Art, you lucky dog! I've never had a Hamilton Club dancer buy me a beverage...
