I will be in the phoenix area in a month and I have a night off from the conference (February 14th to be precise). I am staying in the MESA area near a big mall. What is the best ,and/or closest club to there. I will have to take a cab so dicey neighborhoods and dives are not on the agenda. I have read the club reviews but I would appreciate any local knowledge I can get. Thank you in advance for your help and fuck you in advance for your smart ass comments.
I do not know where the mall is, nor do I know how close these clubs are:
1. Bourbon Street - honestly, probably the one of the best collection of babes I have ever seen in the United States, and look at my reviews, I've been all over. $10 lapdances as well. It's kinda dumpy, but you quickly get over that.
2. Hi-Liter - another very solid club, where dances are more 'liberal' shall we say.
Don't want to be political but practical: Do Sheriff Joe's boys hassle the bars at all? A months' stay in a pup tent surrounded by barbed wire in the desert while wearing pink boxer shorts does not sound like my idea of a good time!
Yo're probably in the Hilton, just east of Alma School Rd, just north of the Superstition freeway. A word of caution, that area has a lot of homeless people that break into cars to steal whatever they can find, so don't leave any valuables in the car, and park close to the hotel if you can.
The closest good club is Christies on Baseline Rd, in Tempe, about 6 miles due west of where you will be. However, if you have a car or lots of money for cabs, you just can't miss at the HiLiter, and I also agree with the recommendation for Bourbon St. If you want a smaller, sleazier, nude place with great mileage, Blue Moon on Van Buren is the ticket. Enjoy!
Sheriff Joe doesn't care about strip clubs because there's nothing in it for Sheriff Joe. The LE activity I hear about seems to be mostly drug bust related, and is more prevalent at the dives on the west side. And, it's usually PPD, not MCSO.
